Wasnt that great.
As a room on beach, it was ok. Did find 3 live waterbugs roaches? (big) in room. Front door lock was worn out or keys were bad. Staff said you just have to wiggle the key. Both AC filters appeared to have never been cleaned. This is true for every room Ive ever been in on Maui. Filters need cleaning folks! Great green grounds, very nice pool and tennis courts. Beach was a mess with algae and smelled horrible.
Our second week was spent in Kaanapali area. Skip Kihei and for same or less money, stay in Kaanapali. More to do and area looked cleaner.

Excellent hotel, very much recommended for families
The location of the hotel is excellent. A very good place to walk along to beach but not for swimming. On windy days excellent to watch surfers and It is also a very basis for travelling around on Maui. Rooms very good, everything was there including dish washer and washing machine/dryer. Bathroom and showers seperate including 2 restrooms. Lawn of the hotel very clean (every day cleaning), possibility for barbecue provided, nice but a bit small swimming pool. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and already recommending it to friends.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Rent a car and drive the road through Hana all around the island but do a lot of stops. Best to take two days for that. Great views, great nature, great drive - its really worth to do it.

Great location
This hotel was close to everything we needed. The grounds were beautiful and right next to a great swimming beach. The room was great. The only drawbacks were the rather weak air conditioner in the front room, and the really hard bed in the bedroom. There were several great moderately priced restaurants with in a few miles, along with grocery stores and places to book all kinds of tour activities. For the price, it was a fantastic value and we would stay there again if we get to go back to Maui.
