General Information
What to expect: Double sets of sliding doors open to the hotel’s lobby. Remodeled in 2003, the lobby is outfitted with a burgundy patterned carpet, pine furnishings, and a sofa flanked by colorful armchairs. French doors opposite the entrance lead to a common room with a large-screen TV, game tables, and sofa. This hotel caters to extended-stay guests and business travelers attracted to its location near corporate parks.
Amenity highlights: Guests can exercise in the small fitness room, relax in the indoor splash pool, or cook up a barbecue on the landscaped outdoor patio with umbrella-shaded tables. The hotel serves complimentary Continental breakfast weekdays.
Insider tip: Lesser known than Salem’s popular Witch Museum is the Witch House, the only structure still standing in historic Salem with direct ties to the 1692 Witch Trials. Just five miles from the hotel, this 17th-century home was once the residence of Judge Corwin, one of the magistrates who sentenced women to death during the witch-hunt hysteria. Guides in period clothing give walking tours and tell tales from the town’s storied past.
