cheap place to sleep in Vegas for conventions
The IP is dated - the main restaraunt is closed - but room was adequate and quiet - for a cheap place to stay for a convention - it is great - Monorail leaves from rear and goes to Convention center but not Sands Convention center Someday we will see IP on a movie as they raze it for something new

Excellent Location
This has to be one of the best locations and best price on the strip. But you get what you pay for. Overall food was just ok but over priced. Our room had mold in the shower although they were able to upgrade us rooms at no charge because of this. Some rooms have the greatest views. Close to all major hotels and attractions. Friendly staff. Overall a great price for the location.

Not Impressed
I stayed at Imperial Palace hotel in November 2009. The location of this hotel is good. Its right on the strip. The rooms are Ok for the price that I paid. Ofcourse, its not the best hotel. Two years ago, I stayed at Harrahs hotel and the rooms were much better. The Flavors buffet in Harrahs is good. However, I did not eat at Imperial Palace hotel. The reason I chose Imperial Palace hotel because it was cheap price and its good location on the strip. Also, I chose it because I knew that I would not spend too much time in the hotel, just go there to change clothes and to sleep.
You must see "LeReve" show. Its a very good show. My mom and I really enjoyed it.

Not completely satisfied
I am not sure if it was the hotel or expedia. My reservation said 2 non smoking rooms. When we arrived we were put clear in the back by the parking lot, not even close to the casino. We were put in smoking rooms and they then charged us an additional $20 per night to move us to a non-smoking closer to the casino. When people request non-smoking its because they dont like the smoke. This should be a given and not cost more.

Good value and great location
Good value for the low cost. The room was basic, clean, and Staff very good. Location is great with easy access to the Monorail and other top Hotels on Las Vegas Blvd. Not fancy by Las Vegas standards, but will certainly stay there again. I pulled into town, parked my car, and didnt use it again for 4 days since the location is so good.

Difficult to get room cleaned.
We would hang sign on door each morning " Please clean room" still had to call each evening before anyone came to clean. Room was over band area very noisy, had to buy ear plugs to sleep. Should have infomed us at checkin.

Great View
We had a room in the front of the hotel overlooking the nightclub. The view was fantastic and though the nightclub was a bit loud, you really didnt hear it over the AC. Had a great time playing penney slots! Great drink service!

Older hotel but great value
The IP is between the Flamingo and Harrahas, both get almost double the price for a room. Its one of the best values on the strip.

Excellent place to stay in Vegas
Excellent place to stay in Vegas if you want to be in the middle of the action. One thing about the Hotel is that every time you leave your room or come back to it you will get lost. Itīs so big that you have to take elevators, stairs, walk ways. But after all you will enjoy your stay. Greetings,
If you go to Vegas, better rent a car and enjoy the city, there is more than the Strip to visit.

GREAT LOCATION IN VEGAS, CLOSE TO ALMOST ALL OTHERS BIG HOTELS/ATTRATIONS. ROOMS ARE SMALL AND OLD, POOL NOT THE GRATEST, RESTAURANT IN HOTEL O.K., COLD BE BETTER. DOES NOT RATE 3 STARS AS ADVERTIZED. OK ONLY FOR EXTEME BUDGETS.

IP review
I chose to stay at the IP because we have stayed there before and it wasnt that bad, and we had stayed when they were remodeling back in 2007! Ok that is only a couple years ago right? So our thought was the room would be much better than last time... I Couldnt even tell that anything was remodeled. The tv was small and the remote barely worked, the room smelled bad almost all the time and the bed was like sleeping on concrete, which actually might have been more comfortable. Dont stay here, spend a few more dollars and stay somewhere newer and nicer so that when you do actually go to your room to sleep, it actually counts as sleeping and not waking up in more pain than you went to bed with.

In the middle of the strip!
Hotel was satisfactory in most regards. Check in took a little longer than expected. They only had 2 people working the desk. Other than that, hotel offered everything you would expect....clean room, pleasant staff. By far, the greatest asset of the hotel is its cental location. I would stay there again.

Needs restoration!! Stay away from capri rooms
The location is perfect. It is right in the middle of strip where all the action is. The capri rooms are located in a different building at the back of the hotel. Spend couple more bucks to upgrade, you wont regret it. You get what you pay for. If you are going to use the room just to sleep, then it is great. Otherwise forget about it.

Ok place to stay
this place is ok. The room is old and not special, but hey how often are you in your room in Vegas anyways??? It does the job, just isnt anything fancy or nice. One annoying thing is the tv is really small and old... you would think they could at least upgrade those.

As good as the rest
My wife and I had a lovely time at the Imperail Hotel, It was not as fancy as some of the other larger and newer hotels but it was well worth the money. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean, couldnt ask for anything better, very pleased with the hotel. The weather was very cold and windy for the first 3 days but who can pedict that all in expect for the flight arrangements was satisfactory
Make sure when you book that you have the right air port

Gets the job done
Imperial Palace...what can I say, its on the strip across from Caesars Palace, which I think is a good location. It is also cheap! It may not be the Mirage, but Its not like you spend much time in your hotel anyways. It gets the job done and is great for someone on a budget.

Hookers in the Hall
Worst and noisiest hotel we ever stayed in. Drunks yelling and running up and down the hall most of the nights. We were woke up one night by people fornication outside our door. Used condom was found nearby the next day. Woken up another night with police responding to drunken and disorderly in the room next door with customers complaining that the room was not completely cleaned and sheets changed. Room was made up nearly every day but the sheets were never changed in the 6 nights we were there, although the beds were made and we did leave nice tips each day.
Toby Kieths restaurant in Harrahs was the best place we found to eat and relax

Disappointed
We were very disappointed with the fact that they would not allow us to order movies. It became an ordeal, because they wanted us to come down to the front desk and leave a cash deposit. Once we did that, they would only allow us to order one movie at at time, but we had to keep calling them to order it for us. They should have left it open, but they did not. THe hotel is in a good location ,but their customer service leaves a lot to be desiresd.

Not impressed
The location of Imperial Palace is second to none. However, the hotel is VERY dated and dirty. The staff was very rude and not very helpful, as well. We had a great time in Las Vegas and will return but will NOT stay at the Imperial Palace.

Halloween Trip 2009
For the price the Imperial Palace is a great deal. Its a bed and shower and the only thing wrong with the room was the sink and tub would not drain. It seemed this was the case our entire trip at every hotel we stayed at. The buffet at the Imperial Palace is very bad but we ate at the Pizza Palace and had a very good meal. I also ate at the Burger Place and it was ok; nothing to write home about. Since we were there on Halloween weekend, the hotel was full and getting an elevator was a challenge at times with some floors elevator buttons not working. I valet parked my vehicle but on Saturday after spending the day at the drag races, the valet parking was full so I had to self park. This too was a challenge because there is no specific hotel guest parking. The next morning we checked out so we had to tag team to get the vehicle to the front of the property and our bags to the vehicle. As for the location, the Imperial Palace is located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip plus the Monorail has a stop at the back of the property. I would stay there again.
As for staying at the Imperial Palace, make sure you have comfortable shoes for walking. A suggestion is to ride the monorail to the end (either end) and walking back to the hotel. There is plenty to see and do along the was from both ends. If you have a vehicle, exploring the other things Las Vegas has to offer is worth while. Visit the smaller outlying casinos, the Hoover Dam, Red Rock, Vally of Fire, and down town.

Imperial mess.
Imperial Palace has been forgotten by Harrahs altogether. Its in a prime location, and still works, so theyre letting it make money, regardless the quality of service. On Friday, there is a long line waiting to check in, and there were 3 people present to check us in. I dont know how long Id be able to keep a smile on my face either under those circumstances. A classic car display is about as good as it gets here. Dont waste your time with the buffet. I went there for the California Superbike School. My wife hung out with her mom while I was in school, and we just wanted a large room, and I wanted to be able to sit and relax after all the riding I was doing. The room was disgusting. The carpet is so old and smelly. Its matted. Almost scuffed away in places. I got the "Luv Tub" room, because I wanted to be able sit in a tub. It was unclean, and there were chips in the tub. The water changed from hot to cold, and I couldnt just sit and relax, I had to keep adjusting the water. Bring your own towels if you stay here because the towels are possibly older than the carpet. It was pretty gross. After a long day of riding I was not looking forward to relaxing in my room and prepping for the next days ride. If you want to be comfortable at all, maybe relax in the room for even a little while, take a shower and keep your clothes in a clean environment, this is not where you want to go.

need bathroom maintenance
I found that almost all the rooms has plumbing problems because we had to change room 3x after finding that 5 rooms bathtub faucet are clogged, the porter service is great, who is kind enough to help us resolved the plumbing issue. Im surprised that for such a big hotel on the strip can not fix a plumbing issue. I do not intend to go back to Imperial Palace anymore. i wish expedia also would tell us also what kind of room Imperial has to offer us.
