Hotel needs to be rennovated
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night for our honeymoon. We were visiting Cancun and wanted to check out Merida so we booked our stay at this hotel. I found that the locals were extremely friendly and willing to help with directions. The hotel staff was very professional and friendly. But regardless of good service, the poor condition of the hotel was hard to ignore. The main entrance looked nice but as you walk in everything looks old and somewhat creepy. You have Black and White checkered floors throughout the hotel and the beds were in need of replacement. Our toilet wouldnt flush so we were moved to a different room. This hotel is in desperate need of rennovation. The hotel looks as if nothings been done to it since it was built.I guess its ok if theyre trying to preserve the older look. However, even hotels that are kept with the "original look" need maintenance. I would probably look for a different hotel if I were to go back to Merida. On a positive note, the hotel is in a good location, also the staff was professional and friendly. They gave 5-star service at their 1-star hotel.

Hotels features will be updated
Expedia offer this hotel with information that does not correspond to the reality. The photos and the address are not correct. The hotel is not placed at the corner of the 60 and 57 street; The hotel was at this address until october 07 when it was definitely closed due to big problems on deep in debt. To maintain the brand, they move the hotel to a very old place at the 54/59 street (7 bolcks away from the original address). However, the price does not correspond to the quality of services that they offer. That is, if Expedia maintain the old information to the customers it can be considered as fraudulent. Please take care of that.

Smack in the Middle of Everything
It was my first trip to Merida, and I couldnt have chosen a better place. Mision Merida is located in the heart of downtown - restaurants, clubs, stores are all right outside the front door. The staff was friendly and courteous. The pool was fantastic and rarely crowded - I had it to myself several times. Day trips can be arranged from the lobby. Safe, comfortable, clean, great location.
