WOW!!

From the minute we arrived in our room we were impressed. It was just like the brochure with the sun shining and the view to the water from our balcony. The people were lovely and friendly and we loved the main bartender!! A great relaxing time. I’d love to go back any time!!

nice nice!!

The hotel was excellent, 15 mins from airport along the Corniche with stunning views of the med. Hotel facilities good, including gym, pool & private beach. 20 min taxi ride into old town which is a must for dinner as a myriad of restaurants to choose from-this is a flower market daytime so retains a lovely atmosphere. A private trip to Monaco is must as 30mins away -we visited at night dining at Cafe de paris followed by trip to casino.Hotel consierge arranged driver etc-at a reasonable price. City centre 15 mins away , nice shops & great spa. A most relaxing holiday- if you enjoy a more Select environment, no rowdy tattooed Brits in sight!!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Do visit, Cannes, provence, Cap Antibe & Monaco all within 1 hr drive.

A little out-of-the-way

We enjoyed our stay at the Radisson but found it out-of-the-way from everything. Our only complaint was that the concierge was of little or no help to us when asked to help locate a destination.

Lovely! with great access to the Promenade d’Angalis

Lovely and modern hotel and room. It was nice to have a "hint" of the USA after two weeks totally "En France"---American coffee was a happy way to start the day.

Traveler's tip on dining

We discovered a lovely Italian restaurant in the Old Town area--family owned and very reasonable prices---be sure to check the side streets and allies for good food and good prices.

Not worth it

The hotel room was a little shabby (loose bathroom floor tiles, lower-end furniture, the bathroom door wouldn’t stay open) and the hotel itself was too far from the city center. It would have been okay being farther out if the beach were worth going to, but it’s way too rocky (choose another locale with a sandy beach!)and the hotel itself is too expensive. There are separate charges for the pool and the fitness center, which aren’t worth the price charged. We had a sea view room, and the view was pretty, but the traffic was too loud and the airplanes taking off from the airport were way too loud (even with the balcony door closed). I wish we had stayed somewhere else.

Convenient, comfortable option for Nice

Just got back from a 4 night stay. Staff was very friendly and came up with options for my 4yr old son. Hotel location is a bit out but has a beautiful view (make sure to get a sea view room) of the promenade and the sea. Convenient buses (10, 12) to Gare SNCF, to Cannes (#200) or to the airport- cost is only 1 Euro each. Took the train to Monaco one day (7euros rt) and Canne the next. Only gripe would be that buses stop running after 9pm and then only option is a taxi or a beautiful if long walk on the promenade back to the Hotel. Didnt have a chance to use the fantastic rooftop pool due to the slightly chilly weather but I can imagine it being a big draw. Overall a good option.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Convenience store behind hotel + a block’s walk has everything you need (bkfst, beer, wine, etc)- so dont recommend eating at the hotel.

Little far from the center, but may worth it if you are not in a rush

The hotel is little far from the center, but if you are not in a rush, then this hotel worths the price (comparing with what you have to pay if you want to stay in a sea view hotel with the same quality). The hotel shuttle is only run on the hour, from 11am to 6pm, and no bus at between 12 to 1. The hotel staff are generally polite and helpful, considering French are known to be rude and don’t speak English. The roof top resturant is good and price is not bad.

A bit far from the center of town, but worth the distance

The Radisson is on the far west end of the Baie des Anges, about a fifteen-minute bus trip from Place Massena. There are several convenient bus routes that stop right next to the hotel. Ask for a an ocean-view room; we woke up to a gorgeous view of the Mediterranean from our terrace every day and it didn’t cost that much more than a city-view room. The restaurant and bar were a bit expensive, especially with a low dollar, but the quality of the food and drink was superior. The airport bus stops right in front of the hotel on the Promenade des Anglais - much cheaper than a taxi and just as reliable. If you want to be in the center of all the action, this hotel is not for you. If you prefer a quiter, less hectic pace and don’t mind riding the bus system to get around town, then the Radisson is well worth a visit. We would definitely stay here again.

Traveler's tip on dining

There is not much in the way of good restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel. You will have to take a cab or ride the bus to find food outside of the hotel.

kind of strange

The hotel is overall clean and comfortable, though I am a bit concerned about some hotel staff’s way of service. We were inside the room unpacking, someone knocked on the door briefly. Before we went over to answer the door, the hotel staff already used his key card to open the door and talked to us inside the room. I don’t know, if it is the way of service there, but I feel a bit uncomfortable about that.

Worth the money.

The hotel is a little pricey but in Nice that is not too unusual. Fortunately, the room, pool, overall service and the ocean view rooms are worth the money. Downsides are that the hotel is a distance from the center of Nice. Their shuttle ends just before dinner. If you want to eat downtown you need to be willing to walk 30 plus minutes or take a cab at about 15-20 Euros, one-way. If you are looking for American size rooms that are well appointed and a place to relax on the beach or at the pool, this is the place.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

The Riveria tour offered by Expedia is worth the money. It is an 8 person roomy van that takes you around and provides a good blend of walking and riding.

Can’ wait to go back

We were very happy with the hotel. The only disadvantage for us was the distance of the hotel to the center of activity. Fortunately the hotel has a shuttle, we wish it had a later pick-up in town.
