pleasantly surprised
The only negative i can think of is just it was a bit difficult to find, the directions were spot on, but its just a visual deception when you come off the highway and make your U-turn. The motel itself didn’t look appealing from the road, but it was very nice inside. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room neat , clean and roomy. The complimentary breakfast items available in the lobby was quite a good surprise. I didn’t realize they’d have anything, but there was doughnuts, coffee, waffles, bagels, juice etc and even a USA Today newspaper. Would definetly stay there again if in the area. Loved my stay.

Good for the money
While this hotel is older, it was clean and comfortable and a good bargain for the price. Staff were friendly and personable and breakfast was good. I would definately stay there again.

Good stay
I followed others’ reviews of this hotel for a place to stay in SE Chicago. Had stayed at the Hampton in Munster previously and had a good experience there but wanted to save some money. Chose Inn at Hammond and wasn’t disappointed. The staff was exceptionally courteous, the room was basic but clean and the hotel served its purpose - a good night’s stay w/o frills. Would I go back? Yes. Should you stay here? It’s a very nice 2 and a bit stars property.
