Good place to stay, away from the hubub of the city
Very clean hotel with easy access to the freeway. The area was quiet, in more of a business park. Very nice. The beds were too small. but not much can be changed about that without great expense to the hotel. The hotel staff was extremely pleasant.

Quiet & Comfortable
Wed been up for 30 hours by the time we got to the hotel. Checking out its amenities was not on our priority list. But, the hotel was in a nice, quiet location, and close to SFO (but not too close). Breakfast was a little confusing; the buffet was spread out, and I didnt even see the eggs until Id mostly finished eating. Otherwise, we had a very nice stay, and a refreshing start to our vacation.

Good value
This hotel is not too far from downtown SF (about 15 minutes) and is what you would expect of a Hilton Garden Inn. The front desk was very helpful about places to go downtown at night. One thing though...every time we called housekeeping to request things, we tend to have to call twice for them to bring our stuff.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Dont get a towncar (private car) to downtown though. That costs about $50 and the hotel agents try to get you to take that because they get a cut of your fare. Id say call a cab for about $35 or less. If youre doing directly to Union Square, you should just have the hotel take you to the BART station for free and hop on the BART to downtown for $8.
