Fortunately Aloha means Goodbye as well as Hello
You are greeted with an "aloha" at every turn at the Aloft. The problem is that you are also in a desert country; surrounded by a massive construction site. It is symptomatic of the identity crisis and overall confusion of the hotel and its services. To be fair-If attending any event at the new Exhibition Center, you cannot be more strategically situated, i.e. all other hotels are miles away. The staff is very friendly and tries to accommodate your needs. They have, however, little infrastructure with which to work. Let’s start with simple things like dining. If you don’t want buffet in a cafeteria-like hall; you can order simple food from in the lounge and "dine" hunched over low coffee tables. Or, pursue food poolside (the pool area is gorgeous). Problem-food is served or not there according to some mysterious and ever changing schedule. Back to the lounge or the deafening disco where food is always served...out of plastic containers. Approach this hotel with patience and bring snacks.

Can’t wait to go back to Abu Dhabi
Hotel staff is friendly and hotel is beautiful. Staff went above and beyond. It was everything we imagined. There is a beautiful pool and bar on the fifth floor. The food was great. Lots of choices. The hotel is attached to the exhibition center and across from the marina.
