Inn at Nichols Village: Great rooms, terrible access
I was torn with recommending staying at the Inn at Nichols Village or not. We stayed in one of the rooms with two queen beds. The room itself was really nice, spacious, clean, comfortable. Without an elevator, and no warning that there was no elevator, we had a terrible time accessing the room, between my mother who has trouble with stairs and all our luggage.

Quality and Value
This non-chain hotel (actually chain of different buildings) is a gem. We only stayed overnight on our way to another destination but found our room to be very comfortable, well-designed, clean and quiet when we were there. The breakfast was "continental+" with already made cheese omlettes and "make your own" waffles as well as the usual continental fare. We weren’t there long enough to take advantage of the other amenities--an indoor pool, saunas and exercise room--but they looked inviting. The hotel restaurant, Bazil, was a quite good upscale but casual Italian and the fireplace felt good on a cold and rainy March night. We would definitely stop there again, hopefully for more than one night.
