Less than Satisfactory.
The 2 stars are for the friendly staff. Thats the only good part of this hotel. While the Sheraton Clayton has been updated recently, it feels incomplete. The hallways are dark and old; the vents are old and creepy. The bathroom looks nice, but why bother with a pretty chrome sink if no one EVER bothers to polish or dust it?! The room never felt very clean. When I arrived, there was a dirty tissue next to my bed!!! Ew!! Although my room was tidied each day, the coffee cups were not stocked (they brought more upon my request), the bath mat was not replaced and they never bothered to leave another breakfast menu (even though I ordered coffee and breakfast the first morning) and I stayed 3 nights!! The room service dining was below average. The first night they called about my sandwich and I told them that it was not very good (a dry chicken breast on a "panini" aka toast). The manager kindly credited my bill for the sandwich. However, the next night that I ordered room service, they called my room THREE times to follow up. I was feeling under the weather and it was TERRIBLY annoying to have them call repeatedly and NOT leave a message. That is just Rude. I finally answered the phone so that they would leave me alone! I would not recommend this hotel to a friend. While the staff is friendly, they just cannot make up for the hotels other shortcomings.

Good value for the money
Basic room - no surprises - good friendly service - good rate. A bit noisy (we heard a dog barking at one point).
