mold on the curtains
I was not expecting a 5 star hotel, however a certain minimum standard is not unreasonable. ALL of the a/c units were repaired with duct tape, there was mold growing on the curtains that were falling off of the curtain rod. We checked out 45 min after arriving. On the possitive side they did give a full refund.

Convenient location, clean, polite staff, comfortable
Great value for a clean and comfortable room. Good location. Didn’t eat the breakfast -- it looked like a sugary school breakfast program.

Simple, Basic and Cheap
We came to the city for a few days for the Formula D championships in Irwindale. The hotel was very inexpensive for people looking to just crash for a few nights. It had a refrigerator, microwave and a coffee pot so we were able to save money on our trip by packing our own food. It seems like a small thing but the shower had one of those new fangled curtain rods that give you more room and I liked it. No frills, just a cheap place to stay with all the essentials.
