La Posada is THE place to stay in Laredo
The La Posada is a very elegant hotel. The hotel is rich in history. The service is fantastic, the staff really go out of their way to take care of you. The restaurant was great. I had dinner and breakfast the following morning, both were terrific. The hotel is literally right on the Rio Grande, the area around the hotel is the old town square, very interesting. If you’re open to different cultures & a creaking floor doesn’t bother you, you’ll love the La Posada.

Great Experience on the border!
My wife and I headed north on our driving vacation and stoped at the best night experience of our vacation! Free self parking. We ate in the hotel and the food was very good and the service was GREAT..they ran out of the wine my wife ordered... the bar tender ran out to buy a comperative bottle for her in a few minutes she got her wine!!! Great renovation..I hate to let the secrete out about this gem of a location.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
In old town...historic sites abound.. discount shopping a block away. The church on the plaza is beautiful and the site are cool. Steps away from the bridges over to mexico. Night life is very quiet and limited.
