So cheap and so friendly
I stayed at the Super 8 for just over 3 weeks on a business trip from Australia. The staff and managers were really friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable and clean. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel and the people who run it. I’ll definitely be staying here again. There is free wireless internet and free breakfast - which really made me feel right at home. Thankyou everybody at Hotel 8 - you rock.
Traveler's tip on dining
There are about 6 restaurants really close by. The best would be the Bangkok Kitchen. I highly recommend this restaurant as an undiscovered gem. This place is always busy but the service is good and the food is INCREDIBLE.

I stayed in this hotel over the Thanksgiving holiday. Since I didn’t plan on spending too much time there, I wasn’t too concerned with luxury -- I just needed a nice, clean room with a bed. While the rooms were clean, the hotel apparently saves its money by not turning the heat on. The hallways were literally 50 degrees, with the room not much warmer until we blasted the heater. Breakfast was plain - it consisted of cereal and some bagels. If I had to choose again, I would probably pay a extra couple bucks and stay somewhere nicer.

Decent for the price
I’ve stayed twice in my last couple visits to Toledo. I lived in Toledo for ~14 years until a few months ago, and I knew the location was very convenient for everything I’d do. There are plenty of places around. Overall, it’s a decent place to stay and a reasonable price. I didn’t remember a microwave or fridge in my first visit, but we had one this past weekend. Here are the downsides: - Really skimpy on AC. Upstairs halls are very uncomfortable, and the AC in the room is probably off when you arrive. - Maids seem to check out early. We got in very late and slept in, leaving a DND sign on until ~noon. Our room was never made and I had to go down to the front desk to request towels. - Front desk clerk pulls double-duty, and may be away when you are looking to check out. - Parking can be an issue if it’s fairly full (previous visit), especially if they let people take up two spaces (a handful were). Nothing huge on the complaints, just minor annoyances.
