Comfort Suites Airport and Cruise Port

Great place to stay before and after a cruise. Will be back on our next cruise.

Our stay was better than we expected. They picked us up at the airport within 15 minutes of our arrival. Set us up for a transfer to the dock and also set us up with a return trip to the airport when we arrived back at the dock. We were very satisfied and will staying there when we ship out again. Not Impressed at all

We arrived and were not able to check in at advertised time. Had to wander around neighborhood til called. Finally got to room to find blood on both bedspreads, we were given another room. Very musty stale smell in both rooms. Hair dryer was not operational. Had pre-arranged transportation to port for cruise, we were ready at assigned time, but still had to wait 15 to 20 minutes extra. Lilttle things, but overall added up to very annoying stay.

Affordable and convenient

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights while attending a conference in Ft. Lauderdale. While it was not one of the conference hotels, it was a mere 5 minute walk to catch one of the conference shuttle buses nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. I arrived in the midst of a severe thunderstorm and the elevators were out. The staff helped me with getting the room I wanted (with microwave and fridge), and even helped me by bringing my bag up the stairs to the sixth floor! The breakfast bar was always well stocked and not crowded. My room was cleaned and restocked beautifully by Elsa in housekeeping. The furniture is showing more than a bit of wear and tear but was functional, and the bed was very comfortable. I felt this hotel was a great value for the money.

Good for What You Get

We stayed here one night before our cruise. We had no real expectations above and beyond that. It was relatively clean, but no bells and whistles. Spartan, but useful for our purpose. Close to several fast and sit-down restaurants, as well as a CVS Pharmacy for those last minute "forgot to pack" items. Continental breakfast was fine, but we were not expecting any real quality. Shuttle to port was very convenient. Despite prior posts to the contrary, we did find the staff extrememly friendly and helpful.

Great location but but hotel need upgrade

The hotel is old and need many repairs. It is in a great location and the staff was friendly and helpful. The beds and bedding are old. The blanket was ripped. The room needed painted. It was OK for low budget.

Never again

After staying at this hotel, I will never book a room at a comfort inn suites again. Don’t expect to be able to get a shuttle to the cruise ship when you want to go...the "free" shuttle is booked up during the peak times even before you arrive, but of course you can "pay" for a shuttle close to the time you want to go(not sure why there is a shuttle available for money when there isn’t for free like they advertise)....or you can hire a cab and pay about 1/2 of what the hotel wants to charge you...by the way..make sure you call the cab yourself...they will only call the cab for you after you check out, so you have to wait just like the "free" shuttle...I called from the yellow pages in my room, the were there when I wanted to go and it cost me $11. Also make sure you book this hotel if you like to fight for your breakfast...no clean tables and the layout of the breakfast area makes it very difficult to navigate so you must fight for your foo d and a clean table too...

Less than Comfort-able

Fine place to stay for one night if you’re 1) going on a cruise the next day or 2) not at all picky about your hotel room. Kind of old, a little dingy, free shuttle service to Port Everglades for our cruise was OK overall - tolerable.

Prefer to Use a Different Hotel

We would not choose to stay there again. We had to wait 40 minutes for airport to hotel transport and transport to ships very limited so we took a taxi. However, breakfast was great.

Really handy

Very close to the cruise dock and they have complimentary shuttle service there. Staff was a little inconsistent. Some very friendly and some who were obviously forgetting they worked in a service industry.

Not impressed!

Took 3 hours to get checked in due to room wasn’t ready. They stored luggage in locked room, tagged it, but I observed they let the customer take out luggage without verifying tags. The refrigerator was not cold enough to store left over food and told it was set to save energy. Carpet was filthy with dark grime. Needed carpet cleaning!!!!! Wasn’t worth the cost I was charged. Stayed at another hotel the week prior and it was cleaner and $50 less per night.

Find Other Options!

This hotel has only one thing going for it, the proximity to the Ft. Lauderdale cruise port. It’s old, [should have been renovated years ago], overpriced, crowded common areas, no restaurant or bar, front desk staff overtaxed and not very friendly. Look elsewhere!

Not great

We were very disappointed in the hotel. The room was called a suite by had a queen bed with a sofa stuck into a regular size room. The hotel was not maintained; the bathroom has not good. The only good point was that they provided free transfers from the airport and to the cruise port.

would go back anytime

close to the Airport, they provide Airport and Cruise Port Transportation too. We had our own rental car, also missed the breakfast, because of our very early morning flight. It’s not the kind of hotel where you want to spend your vacation.

Do NOT Stay in this Hotel

Stayed in this hotel after our cruise (Dec 27-28). Previous guests’ hairs were all over the place. The hotel is in such a bad condition that nothing is working (from elevator to airconditioner). We got sick the second day because air conditioner did not funtion properly and was on the whole night(we could not open the window to get fresh cool air)!!!

Comfort Suite Airport has been the best stay at any place that I have uesd in the past, which includes all hotel chains. The efficency and friendlyness of the staff was remarkable. I was treated as if I was renting a room that may been used by King and Queens.The rooms are most comfortable and clean. The breakfest and lounge was a pleasure to partake in. And the shuttle service was fast and most helpful. I felt totally taken care of, as if I was staying with family. In addition the ease of leaving my car till I return from my trip. IT was so simple and very affordable. I noticed that they were upgrading the romms as well. I am not sure how they can improve the rooms. I will share my expericence with friends and family who travel to the Orlando area. The location is perfect and easy to get to all venue and to get on and off from the highways.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

No matter if you come to say in Orlando from distants states or just from an hour away. Staying at this hotel will make your vacation a pleasure and very easy to make arragements for travel to all over the world. Also knowing your car will be there just aa you left it and the cost is very reasonable. The Hosts are a delight to do bussiness with.

Nice Hotel

Hotel was located near many places to eat that where with walking distance.

No food near by

The hotel was nice and the staff was very friendly. But the bad thing is there are no good restraunts near by. We drove 9 hr and all we wanted was to sit down for dinner. Good luck, nothing close, other than pizza hut. In favor of pizza they had the best service I have ever had a Pizza Hut..... Good hotel bad location

Well done for the price

It is a busy hotel, there are plenty of choices in the area but! Free breakfast, Free Wi-Fi and a very decent room. Good value, not the most amazing place I have ever stayed but staff was good both very late and very early. Good for families and business

2 nights max

This hotel is OK if you’re staying maybe for 1 night and no kids. Outdoor Pool only that needed more attention. Hotel is not carpetted so it echos. The smell of bug spray! was overwhelming in the elevator. We had 2 bath towels for 4 people, called house keeping to ask for 2 additional towels, never showed up before we had to check out.

What suites?

The hotel was serviceable and conveniently located, the staff friendly, but what they call a "suite" is a regular hotel room with a bed and a fold-out couch, separated by waist-high ledge. In the middle of the night, I turned on the light in the bathroom and two cockroaches scurried away.

Perfect Price and Location

I spent one night prior to my flight out of the Fort Lauderdale Airport. The check in experience was very pleasant. My room was spotlessly clean. The location to the airport and restaurants and shopping was just perfect. The elevator floor needed to be cleaned and the ironing board cover needed to be replaced, but not a big deal.

Very satisfied

Not only was the price more than satisfactory but the staff was superb. The hotel offered a free shuttle from FLL to the hotel which was a definite "value added service." But I also needed transportation for my family of four from the hotel to the Port of Miami. After making my reservations from Atlanta, I called the hotel back and asked them for a transport recommendation. Not only did the clerk recommend a service, but offered to make the reservations for me. A few minutes later she called me back to tell me everything was arranged. The transport service then called me later in the week to confirm the pickup time. They were on time and only charged the price I was quoted over the phone. I told them I needed transport back from Miami to FLL the following week for my family and the others we were meeting for vacation. They gave me a great rate and took care of everything. All because of the friendly and helpful staff at the hotel.

Great Stay

Extremely satisfied...staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. The room was clean and very comfortable. I would suggest that attention be given to the bathtub which needed reglazing. The fixtures could have used some polishing as they were to remove mineral sediment.
