Hospitality Plus!

Our two night stay in Savannah was wonderful! We chose to stay at Planters Inn on a friend’s recommendation, and we were very pleased. The location was ideal as we planned to park and walk to see Savannah. And walk we did! Lovely old city with beautiful parks and interesting buildings.

Would do it all over again.

This hotel was excellent. From the complimentary morning breakfast to the afternoon wine and cheese. This hotel is in the historic district and close to everything. We walked everywhere and did not need a rental car.

Loads of great restaurants within walking distance at reasonable prices.

Great service for the price

Nice, clean room. Excellent breakfast and afternoon wine. Enjoyed the piano music. The only negative was the noisy parking garage next door.

Excellent location

Totally enjoyed our three night stay at the Planters Inn. It was a very quiet location so we got a good night’s sleep each evening. The complimentary breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. The complimentary wine and cheese each evening is a nice touch. The staff was very helpful. We would stay there again

Savannah 2009

Recently I made a trip to Savannah Georgia and stayed at the Planter’s Inn. It’s the perfect location central to everything. Every night in the lobby they offer wine and cheese and then cookies. Now matter what you need they bring it to your room. Cookie was our maid daily and she is a wonderful character put a smile on face every morning. So if you are going to Savannah I recommend staying at the Planter’s Inn.

October was a great time of year to go. Not too hot just the perfect temperature. Also you have to eat at Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House there’s always a wait but it’s the best food in Savannah.

Beautiful Hotel.....Friendly Service

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The hotel is directly in the middle of the Historic district. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable. There was a wine and cheese reception every evening in the hotel lobby, which was a very nice touch. We had a wonderful time, and will return to this hotel.

Take the time to wander thru the sides streets and see the many parks. If you want an excellent meal, skip Paula Dean’s and go to Mrs Wilkes for the family style buffet (they only serve lunch, and don’t be put off by the line waiting to get in). Take a ride with one of the young SCAD students on a pedicab (a bike with seat for two on the back). It is a wonderful way to see the city, rest your feet and help support a college student.

Satisfactory

I was on business trip and stayed 6 nights at the hotel. Overall conditions and services were good. One thing is that there is no fridge in the hotel but I could manage to request one for 16$ charges per night. Also most rooms face a 5 stories parking lot. Otherwise it was correct.

’Wonderful Hotel

The hotel was in an excellent location; walking distance to everything in the Historic District. Staff great; rooms nice & clean and beds very comfortable! The breakfast had bagels, french toast, danishes, biscuits, eggs, yogurt, grits, cereal & fresh fruit. Will definitely stay here again!

Love the Place

We have had the pleasure of staying at the Planters Inn on Reynolds Square on many occasions and are always sure of a friendly greeting, great service at an exception value and a very comfortable room. We also greatly enjoy the Wine & Cheese in the evenings. We highly recommend the Inn and we will be staying there on our next trip thru Savannah.

Traveler's tip on dining

Try the "Pink House" right next door to the Inn.

Great Hotel!!

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary in Savannah, staying at the Reynolds. The Staff was wonderful, helpful and pleasant. The rooms were very clean. Book one of the rooms with a balcony over looking the square. It faces the sunrise. So worth it. The breakfast was plenty, hot and cold options. The wine and cheese gatherings were popular, and evening cookies were fabulous after an after dinner stroll. Only complaint was the smell of strong cleaning chemicals in the hallways. Great location, within walking distance to downtown. Overall, great experience, definately stay again.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Just be aware of the charge to park your rental car at the hotel. I think $13 per day. The only other option is to pay a meter every 2 hours. But they park the car for you.

historic hotel in great location

And they say it is haunted as well. This is a fine place to stay in Savannah... and right next door to one of the best restaurants, The Old Pink House. A great choice for your holiday.

How to see Savannah!

We will return. There were not enough days to see what Savannah has to offer. The Inn location was perfect. We walked and had the most wonderful vacation we’ve had in years.

Excellent location

This hotel is well situated right across the street from Reynolds Square where most of the walking tours of the city begin. In addition, all the shops, restaurants, and the riverfront are within 5 minutes walking time. We rented a car, but only needed it to go kayaking or to Bonaventure. The Pink House restaurant is right across the street. Every night except Sunday, the hotel has a lovely wine and cheese reception for the guests.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

We arrived on a Saturday of the long weekend. However, if you arrive on a weekday you can go into the city office next door and get a 48 hour parking pass for about $7.00. Also, be sure to get the valet to park your car because the hotel gets better parking rates than you can on your own.

Good value in a good location

Nice to be a couple blocks off the riverfront to avoid all the mess down there. Old school hotel on quiet square with everything within a short walking distance. Very good value for the buck.

Just Like Coming Home

The moment I entered the Planters Inn I knew it would be like coming home, only better! I was greeted as if I were the most important person every to stay there. The personnel were friendly, helpful and patient. They did their jobs with a competence and grace I’ve rarely seen when traveling. Savannah holds a fascinating charm which can never be duplicated anywhere else.

Great historic hotel!

My sister and I were very excited to be traveling to Savannah, GA. It had been many years since we had visited Savannah! The hotel This hotel was very impressive on the internet before we arrived. The employees were very friendly and knowledgable. Having valet and bell hop service was a great plus. The rooms are large and very attractive and decor looks like visiting someones home. There was complimentary wine, fruit and cheese early evenings and a delicious complimentary breakfast. The icing on the cake was a limousine picked us up at the site in the am and took us to a bus for a tour of the old city.

Traveler's tip on dining

Alll the shops and restaurants are within walking distance of old town. The southern food is very delicious.

Pleasantly surprised

The Planters Inn on Reynolds Square was a very pleasant surprise. My sister and I had never been to Savannah so I planned this impromptu trip in about 15 minutes online and pretty much relied on star rating and reviews to guide me. It did not disappoint. The inn was not only a great value but also charming. We found a comfortable spacious room,a friendly and helpful staff, and the location was incredible (right next door to the Pink House). We had a great time and I would definitely recommend this hotel.
