Non-smoking rooms smelled like a cigar bar

Pro’s - less expensive than others. Decent breakfast. Adequate exercise room. Bed was comfortable. Staff was very nice. Con’s - I was traveling with 2 business associates. All 3 of us had ’non smoking’ rooms that all stunk like an ash tray. The funny part is that there’s a during check-in that if you smoke in a non-smoking room, you’ll get whacked with a $200 fine for ’cleaning’. The staff recommended leaving the bathroom exhaust fan on all night, which leads me to my next ’con’... The bathroom fan was a typically cheap one. Unbelievably noisy, so that made it impossible to follow the staff’s recommendation for purging the tobacco stink. VEntilation system was a window unit, which of course cycles on and off all night. Argh. Bathroom needed help. Upon arrival, the toilet seat cover was broken. They replaced it while I was gone for the day. Indoor pool looked like it had a problem. There was some foaming going on, and there wasn’t anyone swimming. Dunno what that was about. I passed on the pool.
