Hated It
I booked this hotel because of a great rate and its proximity to an event I was attending. This was a very busy weekend and other hotels were already full. Upon arrival, I was told that the room I booked SEVEN months earlier(a room with 2 queen beds) was not available and that I would be "upgraded" to a room with a king size bed and a pull out couch. The pull out couch was horrible, so 2 adults and a six year old had to spend the night sharing the king size bed. We were able to switch to our preferred room on the second night, but that did not help the fact that I was not able to sleep well the night before the event. At check out, the Assistant General Manager told me there was nothing he would do to compensate me for the first night, trying to tell me that he did me a favor by "upgrading" me to a room I did not want and could not sleep comfortably in. He also proceeded to tell me that it was Expedias fault that I was able to book a room that he claims was sold out a year in advance. I find it hard to believe that the hotel is not responsible for making sure that travel companies know what rooms they actually have available.

Great Staff from top to bottom
This was a pleasant stay for me! The place was clean neat and the staff was the reason! Everyone was very helpful and pleasant from the front desk to the people that clean the room to the people that made our breakfast every morning (great breakfast)bacon eggs biscuits & gravey,fruit and rolls. I was very glad to be staying at a place that cared about my comfort like these people did.
Traveler's tip on dining
Downtown Chelsea is a neat old but new place to shop and eat all within walking distance. just park in the free parking a block off the strip and walk around a little bit and you will find a great place to eat and maybe a neet place to shop!

Enjoyed my stay!
My stay at the Holiday Inn Express was great. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was quite spacious, even the bathroom was big. The only thing that I could recommend would be to provide more counter top space in the bathroom. Other than that, everything exceeded my expectations.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Chelsea was a nice and cozy area. You can enjoy the day out at Ann Arbor or Detroit and then come back to your room for a nice quiet evening or enjoy a meal at any of the local resturants.
