very happy
Very convenient, clean, well priced. We usually have more people and stay in a condo, but this hotel is a great Mammoth option if just two people - the microwave and mini fridge in the room were very handy.

Excellent location on Main St.
The brand is Holiday Inn but it is styled and operated to fit the Mammoth experience with a heated pool and in house spa with massage therapy for sore muscles after a full day on the slopes. The Main St. outlets are only a short walk away for those who like to shop. Slocums Grill and Bar for Dinner and the Shadt bakery are also steps away for dining. Perrys Italian Cafe is excellent for Lunch if not eating on the slopes or a less formal dinner with excellent food. Unfortunately, with so many good food options within minutes,we never made it to the hotel restaurant. The room was a good value considering the great location.
Traveler's tip
For skiers, on a busy weekend or holiday, the shuttle bus that starts out empty a ways further down in town, will many times be full when it reaches the upper half of Main St. On a previous trip, after 4 full buses and 45 minutes, I chose to walk up the hill a half mile to the Village and took the Gondola out out Canyon Lodge. If you are headed out the Main Mammoth Lodge, my only advice is to get an early start (before 8:00am).
