You can’t beat this
The front desk staff are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are large and feature cooking stoves, microwaves, dishwashers, and fill-size refrigerators. The beds have high quality mattresses. You also get a reclining Barca lounger,and a VHS/DVD player - you can borrow from their library of DVDs too. AND, they have a miniature grocery near the front desk! If all Candlewoods are like this, then I that is where I will be staying.

Excellent Value
This is the second time I’ve stayed here, and I will stay again. There’s a full kitchen in every room, which saved me $$ on dining! A lending library of movies w/DVD & VCR players in every room. Hotel staff was extremely responsive to our requests re: how to adjust the a/c (simple once we were shown the wall thermostat!). 24-hour self-serve convenience store functions on an honor system, believe it or not! Just drop the $ into a slot or pay at the desk--if you choose to. Free schuttle service to O’Hare or the train station that takes you into the city. There was everything we wanted at an unbeatable price.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
There’s a Jewel grocery store on Irving Park Rd. Just take Mannheim N to Irving Park, turn right and it’s about a mile or so down the road.
