Easy to use, great location to Trolley line
Nice, clean, great location for hotel circle. Walked across street to Trolley line, and rode to Old Town for a great Mexican dinner. Did not like the hotel parking charge, so we parked across the street on the street for free.
Old Town for Mexican dinner, walking the shops and historical buildings.

Shopping Galore
The Mission Valley Doubletree is a very adequate hotel. They seem to be renovating the building including the sixth floor. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The lighting in the room is inadequate and the lighting in the bathroom is extremely dim. The rooms stay warm even when the thermostat is set to 65 degrees, and the cleaning staff could use a lesson in better cleaning techniques. The hotel is near many restaurants and shopping in abundant. The hotel is a good place to stay, but dont expect the Ritz. Front desk staff seems very nice to deal with.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The hotel is in the heart of Fashion and Mission Valley malls, with ample shopping and dining choices. Movie theaters abound everywhere and driving to Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, the beaches etc is only minutes away!
