Beautiful and peaceful
Would definitely go back. Very relaxing, yet close to everything the Aspen area has to offer.

lovely resort BUT!
This resort sits in a lovely location walking distance from Aspen, yet surrounded by the woods leaving us with a great feeling of rural comfort. The rooms were dated, yet well updated with high quality bedding and fabrics. The hotel advertized as dog friendly but they surprised us with a $100 dollar non refundable charge ...we would have left but they also refused to refund our reservation. The hotel sponsored a wedding and the noise all night was like days in a freshman dorm...terrible, and the hotel did not make any attempt to control or reimburse us for the loss of quality...lastly the room temp was an uncontrolled 94 degrees all night....we could not open windows due to noise, or doors due to bears; thus one of the worst nights we have ever paid for.

Good value for Aspen
Cool rooms, quiet, great views all around. Good food with excellent service. 24 hour shuttle into Aspen was really useful.
