We Always Stay Here!
This was our 3rd time staying at the Hotel California St. Germain and as usual we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There have been several improvements made to the lobby and hotel rooms since our last stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff very friendly and helpfull. We love the location of this hotel which is in the Latin Quarter and close to the Pantheon, the Luxemborg gardens, Cluny Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral and Saint Severins. The hotel offers a breakfast each morning which offers coffee, cheese, rolls, cereal and fruit. There is a charge for this which is applied to your bill at the end of your stay. The breakfast is very nice and convenient. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and look forward to staying here again.
Be carefull when planning your trip on the use of connecting flights. On our return, we flew out of Paris on a Sunday morning for a connecting flight in Zurich that would take us to Chicago. Unfortunately, there was a large mess at the Swiss Air check in that took us 2 hours to get our baggage checked in. Our flight left a half hour late and we missed our connecting flight and had to stay in Zurich until the following day. If using connecting flights, be sure that there is plenty of time to make the connection. In our situation, we originally had 45 minutes which we found out was not enough time. Also make sure that there are other flights going out to your destination. In our case, there was only one flight per day to Chicago. The bottom line is that a direct flight is best, but if you need to use a connecting flight, allow extra time and perhaps return a day early to avoid any connection problems.

Just okay
We traveled with our 2 adult children and stayed in the family suite. It was adequate for what we needed. We really only were in our room to sleep and shower. The space was very small and very basic. The staff was friendly but not overly helpful. The location was good.
