Would love to return someday
Nice, clean, friendly service in every department. Loved that it was close to the cathedral, Rhine river and old downtown area.

Don’t take a room where you can hear the trains.
Very nice hotel, but the breakfast should be included - 35dollars is terrible even if the buffet has a good selection. 10 dollars for a glass of white wine is also too much in a wine country.

Great Location, Hotel Staff Disappointing
This hotel has a great location, but the front desk staff either do not speak English well or are just plain rude. We could not call reception or the concierge as neither desk answered the phone. We also found the house keeping hours bizarre--they seemed to come intentionally when we were in the room so they wouldn’t have to clean it (10 a.m., 5:00 p.m.). This hotel is not a good representation of the Sofitel line. We have stayed with Sofitel many times. This hotel was a disappointment.

The Mersenich bakery just up from the square has delicious and inexpensive German treats--we recommend them all.
