Well-run hotel. Great remodeling of an older hotel.
Excellent location. High quality bed and pillows. I had a basic King room facing the back (with view of back street and mountains). Saw some rooms with ocean view fbut I would expect they would be much noisier. So if quiet is important, ask for a room facing the backstreet. A little bit pricey.

pleasantly surpirsed
The hotel I was supposed to stay at was totally book. I was not expecting much...but I stayed in a great room with a nice view.. The place does not look like much....but the rooms are very nice...at least mine was.....

Fall Inn love
I must say that I was anticipating staying at a larger hotel down the street do to my conference was being held there. But, I am so glad that I did not! I had the absolute best experience at the Santa Barbara Inn. The staff was very friendly, my room was ultra comfortable and the custodial staff needs to know how impressed I was with the condition of the abode. I am very picky and usually have difficulty sleeping on any other mattress. However, I had such a peaceful and restful experience. I would love to come back and stay when my fiancé and I make a trip up the coast. Kudos, for keeping the Santa Barbara Inn a quant and inviting place to call home (away from home).
