Comfy Bed
Nicely appointed room. It was a 20min walk to State street and the dock which was a bit more than I expected but it was still ok. The bed was sooo comfortable. Even better than a Marriott. The lobby staff could have been more friendly and helpful but they did have coffee ready in the lobby by 6am.
Traveler's tip on shopping
Take the trolley up State street for 25 cents. State street is full of great restaurants and shops and is a very long street.

Clean, Decent Location but louder than expected
The hotel staff was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. The location to the beach was good, but there are other hotels in the area with a more prime spot. The room was good size and kept up. The biggest issue we had with this hotel was the car port for parking is right below all the rooms. So, you hear cars coming and going into the night. Really poor placement!

great stay at Brias del Mar
we really enjoyed this hotel...small, and full of charm, great service, lovely ammenities, and just a relaxing time. We travelled with some friends, and the hotel was kind enough to put us in neighboring rooms, so we could visit. We took our kids, and it was kid-appropriate too (no "frowns" when we joined the morning breakfast with a couple "energetic two year olds!) - although there are probably better "kid oriented hotels" this one is acceptable, and since you really don’t spend much time in a hotel when you come to Santa Barbara, it worked out well. Good parking, seemed safe, and the overall location was very convenient - a couple convenceince markets near by, plus of course a real quick drive to the beach and state street. The "deluxe continential breakfast met my needs...hard boiled eggs, cereals, rolls and pastries, coffee, fresh fruit. Enjoyed the "milk and cookies" with my son, and the wine/cheese was ok, although we didnt drink. I’d defitely stay here again!
first timeers to Santa Barbara...with 2 year olds! This trip (and hotel) was a success!
