We have used this hotel before and will use it again.
This has to be the best Super 8 that they own. My only hope is that they keep it up as this is a very nice hotel that they have added to their chian.

Avoid this place like the plague!!!
To begin with the rooms do not have individual thermostat control. It has the original thermostat which is over 30 years old, with markings on the dial from 60 to 90 degrees, yet it doesnt function in this way. There is no switch to turn the unit on (no thermometer). It was muggy and very hot when I arrived, the front desk advised that there is not individual air-conditioning for any of the motel rooms that the whole system runs on the archaic central system water pump, which can only offer air-conditioning (?) in the summer, and heating in the winter according to when they switch the whole system to one or the other. The clerk stated that the dial was not functional as a dial for determining temperature, but that it did work as a switch by either turning it all the way to the left, which turns on the fan to that particular unit, or all the way right which turns the fan off (which was a condition I founded it in). Therefore, all you can do is turn on the fan and hope that the whole system is cool, which during my 6 days it was not. The service was lousy, theyre under paid employees displayed no earnestness to meet the needs of their guest, and at times displayed utter laziness

Not impressed
Heating and air conditioning system is limmitted to either heat or a.c. for all the rooms. It is not individually controlled. I had to leave the door open to cool the room off. Light over the vanity was malfunctioning. The bed was cira. 1950.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
You can get a bus to anywhere downtown for $2. Great if you dont have a rental car. Cabs are not cheap in Reno!
