Very helpful staff during the stay, but before and after...
we really had a good time there. during our stay, everybody was extremely helpful and gave us a lot of guidance. unfortunately, nobody answered on my pre-stay inquiry regarding the best way to get to th hotel from the airport. also, after our stay we had and still have some problems to get the hotel to send us some things we forget there. but overall a very good stay...

Excellent hotel, excellent staff
Choosing one of the "Executive Business" rates makes this hotel a great bargain. Breakfast, tea, and evening cocktails are included. My wife and I have twice stayed a week and use the above times for our meals except when we want to splurge. Unlimited internet access is also included. The staff is wonderfully attentive: they even remembered our morning beverage preferences upon our return a month after our initial visit!

Stylish hotel with beautiful grounds, good service.
Swissotel is my favourite chain, and this one is definitely an excellent choice for a holiday. The rooms are modern, stylish, clean and comfortable. What really sets it apart though is the large tropical garden where you can just relax for hours with a glass of coconut juice. 10 mins from Phloen Chit BTS, and fairly near Makkasan station when the new airport express train starts (better late than never!). Staff are very helpful with booking spas and restaurants in Bangkok (although the more popular places speak English).
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Bring a GSM phone and buy a SIM card for it from any of the networks / convenience stores. Even if you only call one or two restaurants etc., it’ll save money compared to roaming rates from your home network (typically a B300 card is good for a few days, which is US$8 or so...)
