Nice but not quite up to Ritz standards
Was not a typical Ritz. It’s attached to a mall. The service and facilities were good but not "Ritz good." For instance, our room the first day was missing amenities such as shampoo. The restaurant was just "fine" and extremely overpriced. The breakfast buffet was $30 or $40 per person and didn’t contain anything special. They also kept running out of items and had very long lines which is disappointing for such an expensive buffet. Hotel is conveniently located on Metro line. Hotel staff told us to take a line which got us to the Capitol but the very long way around.

One of the best hotels we have stayed at
Excellent option to stay while visiting Washington DC. Be confident that you will receive the Ritz Carltons recognized quality service. Very good location in a subway station and inside Pentagon City Mall, giving easy access to any point in the city. There are plenty dining options inside the hotel (superb cuisine) and Pentagon Row.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Public transportation in DC is one of the best. If you are arriving to Dulles Intl Airport, take advantage of the 5A Bus that will take you from the airport to Rosslyn Station for $3.15 per person, compared to a $80 cab.
