disappointing
We weren’t satisfied with our stay at Travelodge. First, the desk-clerk wanted to put $100 deposit on the room in case of phone use, movie rental or damages, which was not to be charged but "held". My account was charged twice (since we had two rooms) but it shouldn’t have been charged at all! Second, the beds were like lying on concrete. The water was ice cold when we showered both nights. The Hot Tube was broken all weekend. Next, the Continental Breakfast - that was entirely disappointing. The small amount of food that was offered was delicious - don’t get me wrong. However, when I was viewing the pamphlet in our room - the Continental Breakfast showed fruits, donuts, muffins, bagels and a wider variety of items that were not provided. In my opinion, that is false advertisement. Finally, before I made the reservation I called to check that there was Shuttle Service to the Casino. The person I spoke with said there was Shuttle Serivce, we were informed that that service was no longer provided and that it wasn’t something newly established either. Many factors resulted in a frustrating vacation.
Traveler's tip on dining
While we were at Casino Windsor - we ate every meal other that breakfast there. The food was top notch - we were all extremely satisfied with the selection, price and portion of dishes served. Plus the added bonus of redeeming your reward points to discount your meal. We were all thoroughly impressed with the Casino food. And on Saturday (if it’s the same EVERY Saturday), go to lunch from 4-6 because the ratio of people to slot machines was 3 to 1.
