Hyatt Long Island Nightmare
This is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel and BOTH times customer service was totally disappointing! Unfortunately due to it being a convention location I have no other choice but to stay there. Believe me I would never choose to stay there. From my arrival, with no bellman to assist with my luggage, to the sub-par customer service at the check-in desk who were not attentive. However, this is defintely not typical Hyatt customer service. Room service took forever to answer the phone. They did deliver within a reasonable amount of time, however they failed to bring everything I ordered and requested. Part of a covnention I was trying to reach assistance on a house phone and no one ever picked up my call. You can imagine my frustration when I walked upstairs to find 3 employees engaged in a conversation. Obviously too busy to answer the house phone! The most redeeming employee was a young lady whho worked in the restaraunt. She was very attentive and apologtic when I expr4essed my dissatisfaction of the hotel service. I would NOT reccommedn staying at this hotel if customer service is important to you!

Paper thin walls??!
The room I booked ended up being one that was adjoined to another room that was occupied. When the occupants of that room came back at 2AM, it sounded like they came into our room and were carrying on a conversation (and they were only talking in normal tones). When 1 of them got up at 6 am to shouwer, I actually went to my bathroom to check because it sounded like the water was on in my room! I understand getting a discounted room at a good hotel sounds like a bargain, but you get what you pay for!
