The hidden hotel
Too hard to locate. Expedia map of hotel location was bad. Not nearly enough detail. The live music could be heard in most rooms after 10 PM.

wedding in Austin
We weren’t able to afford a hotel where the bride and groom had blocked rooms. So we were looking for a hotel with easy access to everything we needed. The Holiday Inn was perfect. Great hotel, nice rooms, great neighborhood, and it was the hub for everything we needed to get to that weekend. We will definately be staying there for future trips to Austin, Tx.

A Very Nice Weekend in Austin
While in Austin attending a weekend wedding, my wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn - Arboretum Area. I am pleased to say that the hotel staff were friendly and courteous. As expected, the room was very clean and comfortable. Every amenity, including a business office with good, fresh coffee, met or exceeded my expectations. I believe that the rate offered by packaging this hotel with a flight and rental car was an exceptional deal. My only complaint is the location of the hotel. Although not far from a sizable highway intersection, getting to or from this hotel requires either a couple mile detour on the highway or navigation through a residential area. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
If you take I-35 about 10 miles north, you’ll find Lone Star Bakery/Round Rock Donuts. If you are a fan of these delicious treats, I suggest you stop here. These donuts are perfection in my book. When warm, they literally feel like they’re melting a little in your mouth!
