Didn’t feel like 5 star
The biggest plus is that the Westin Grande is right next to a sky train and MRT station. That’s really convenient. Apart from that, the hotel itself was just about adequate. They couldn’t even provide a copy of the Bangkok Post when we asked saying it was "Out of stock"

Great hotel with great staff
We just spent several nights at this hotel for our honeymoon, and it was fantastic. The rooms are large and comfortable, and the service is top notch! Highly suggested for an upscale trip to Bangkok.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The Asoke Skytrain station is right in front of the hotel. It’s the best way to see the main food/shopping and somewhat cultural artery of Bangkok and beat the ghastly traffic.
