Great location for Cinemania
Very nice hotel with great location for our stay which was centered around attending films at cinemania. Only negative was that the hotel seems to have a central heating system and it was turned up too high for the outside temperature. Our room was too warm for us, but probably perfect for others. We were upgraded (without question) to a one bedroom suite because they were sold out of studios, which was very nice. We would definitely use this hotel again for Cinemania next year.

Fine hotel, good location, helpful staff
We stayed at this hotel for its proximity to McGill University, but it is also situated close to other downtown Montreal spots. We found it very comfortable, the room was modern, clean and also included a small kitchen, which with the ample great restaurants and cafes in Montreal, we did not need but was nice to have as an option. The breakfast was ample in variety. We only had one minor mix up on the billing for parking. If you have a car, there is adequate parking on the street if you need it. It is not a big hotel nor is 5 star, but very comfortable and stylish in a small european way.

Will stay there again
Generally, this was a very good place to stay and I will be sure to book a room here again, next visit. Large comfortable apartment/room setup. And I had a wonderful view of Mt. Royal area of the city (be sure to go to top floor swimming pool area for an almost 360 view of Montreal. My complaints are not deal breakers but worth listing 1) slow, small elevators (also used by staff). 2) More important (why I gave a 4 instead of 5) I had an issue with my car parking pass: having an SUV, I got daily parking passes to a garage across the street. I lost my last days ticket but the desk manager said that I had to pay for a new replacement - she basically said nothing could be done. Fortunately, the manager at the hotel running the other garage provided me a replacement after pleading my case. It was my mistake to lose a ticket (though a single multi-day pass would be better) but I was surprised the desk manager didnt attempt to help me.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Next door to McGills campus, A few blocks walk to St Dennis street, the plateau and other areas. Great town - the town and culture itself moreso than the extra tourist attractions that you can see anywhere.
