Location! Location! Location!
The location was spectacular. The room was clean and functional with a small kitchen, including dishwasher, for those who want to avoid the breakfast expense or the expenses of eating out every night. The price was right. One gives up daily housekeeping, but it was worth it.
I know Paris well. It was worth giving up Parisian "charm" for a great location and a good price.

Very enjoyable trip
On our first trip to Paris we stayed way out near Gare du Nord. Any sightseeing ment a trip on the Metro. This trip I did my research and found the Citadines apartments in St Germain right on the Seine. Had to book 6 months in advance but well worth it! Excellent location near all the major museums, the Tour Eiffel, St Germain des Pres, the Latin Quarter, the Marais. Location, location, location.
Renting an apartment to sleep multiples (my wife and I and our 27 YO Daughter) worked out great. Had breakfast in our room, out shopping/museum hopping all day, stop in a nearby shop for food on the way home (directions provided by the hotel) and do over the next day.

Great central location, especially nice if you want to cook a little... Didn’t use the kitchen but nice.
