Recommended for family
We stayed for one night last June 09. The service is great but food/ accomodation is too pricey. Recommended for family with children as hotel facilities are mostly for them.. Not good if you’re honeymooners.

Second Rate Shangri-la
The resort is about half the price of Shangri-la and a good choice is you are looking for a cheaper get away weekend. The staff is friendly and attentive. The variety of pools is amazing. The rooms are fair. The beach is very very tiny. The restaurants are extremely expensive probably due to the fact that you can’t leave the resort. There is nothing outside the gate and could possibly be unsafe for white foreigners. Highlight os my son’s trip was they have an amazing coral reef drop.

Where is my pool side room?
After enduring a 10 hrs flight from Doha, the pool side room we originally booked was given to another guest so we have to settle to a lagoon view room. Unfortunately, the lagoon was drained that night and we were not told in advance so no night swimming happened. The following morning the lagoon is still empty so we have to walk for a 5 minutes just to get to a pool. Very disappointing and overall we did not enjoy the so-called Upgrade. We just wished that we got a simple pool-side room were i’m close to my family and near the waters.
