Blue Bay Club Cancun All Inclusive

We go two are three times a year-- this was third time in 09. Would we go again? not only no but **** no! Food: same every day, all international and not good, bland. Room: we were upgraded. One side of the room was the ocean view (bay brown- green water) the other side a 50 yard x 400 yard dump ground. Room inside was ok ,clean,bed comfortable. The beach very small, water dirty, you are in a bay. no blue carribean water here. Pool: one, Motel 6 size pool, for 500 people --you do the math.This hotel is in the slums do not go to town. Staff is the best!! Need to have some like them at other hotels. Do not get me wrong I’m not mad, we took a shot in the dark and made the best of it for a 5 day trip. Our normal trip is10 to 12 days, we would have moved to another location if we were staying longer. a.

STAY SOME WERE ELSE For good inexpensive place to stay look at the royal solaris great food, one kidy pool, one large pool and one owners/adult pool.did i say the food was good all there food is from here USDA. nice beach clear water.

LOVED IT !!

My daughters and I loved it all. The service, from "Bell Boys", to security guards. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. Food is excellent, hotel cleanliness and room, is excellent, as well. It’s very family oriented. Next timee I go, we will stay there, again. We also loved that they have entertainers. They do games at pool, shows (on Hotel Theater), every other nite, and every night, at the Hotel’s Lobby, the entertainers host games and competitions. It’s super, super FUN!!

The hotel is so good, employees, sevice, food, drinks, etc. PERFECT!... Activities all day long, they never stop working for you.

God! There are too many local attractions... Chichen Itza ruins (my favorite) is a magical place you can’t miss. Isla Mujeres, Cozumel, snorkel.... too many places and things to do. Cancun is not just sun and beaches.

VERY FAR from downtown cancun

This hotel was very clean, food was average, and the staff tried very hard to make the vacation enjoyable. However, only stay at this hotel if you are not interested in being near the hotel strip, you are VERY far away from where all the action is! It is not even in cancun, it is located in a small fishing village called puerto juarez. It is a good location to catch the ferry to isla mujeres. It was a nice quiet place to relax but I did not realize how far away from cancun we were going to be.

The hotel and staff were amazing!!! Very accommodating and enjoyable!

The hotel itself is very kid and family friendly!! Daily activities involve any and all age groups! The entire hotel team inquired regularly as to how our stay was, what could they do to accommodate in any way----if so....and that is awesome hospitality! The rooms were altogether sensational...equipped with God’s simple wonders!!! The ocean,call of the seagulls,refreshing ocean breeze, and sunrise right before you...just a step outside your room and you have the sunkissed warm sand between your toes.

Great Hotel

The hotel was nice and clean. The staff and activities were great. The drinks weren’t strong but that’s okay. The only thing I didn’t like was it wasn’t in the hotel zone.

I was very pleased with this hotel. The staff was wonderful. The cleanliness of the room was awesome. There was alot of seaweed but not a big deal. I will go back for sure!

The atv trip to the jungle and cenote is so worth it. It was awesome!!

IT WAS A GREAT STAY...

The Hotel was excellent. Me and my Fiancee enjoyed it so much. The drinks are ok not to strong, but what can you say it was an all inclusive.The only bad thing was the distance from the night clubs. We had to travel by taxi to get to downtown cancun, but besides that the stay at Blue Bay was marvelous.

Beautiful hotel and ocean view from suite!

The staff was very polite and helpful. We loved the food, servers and bartenders. It was a relaxing and family oriented vacation. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Watch out for the people at the airport who will try to get you to go on cheap excursions because it involves visiting a hotel/time share type thing. Our hotel ended up reimbursing us, so that we did not attend, but then we had to go on a tour with them.

not impressed

thier was four of us .we booked in september of 08,and we still had rooms on opposite ends of the resort.only one room was ocean view when they clearly stated both would be.the food was sub-par to say the least(powdered milk)chocolate was so bad they tried to cover it up with a pinch of cinnamom in it.charged a surcharge to exchange us dollars to pasos.we talked to people that got upgraded to thier sister resort the temptations for free and we could not even get to rooms with a view as promised.only good thing was the drinks:(:(:(

exchange your money in town at an exchange bank to get the right amount.use pasos only.local food; if thier are locals in the resurant eating it is fine.if the locals will not eat thier neither should you.stay away from tourist malls or stores,very over priced.plenty of small markets to choose from ask your cabbie they know them all.ask to go to market 28.

Quite and relaxing

There was plenty of good food. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. Although the hotel is not in the hotel district everything is very accessible. Great place for the kids.

Hotel Below Expectations

The food, entertainment, beach, and room all left a lot to be desired. We left after the second night and went to another resort which was much better and only slightly more expensive. If you are looking to have a fun and enjoyable vacation then Cancun is a great spot. However, do not ruin your experience by trying to save money and staying at the cheapest resort available. You get less than you pay for.

No problems with the hotel, staff was great but the location is too far from the hotel zone. The hotel is located next to a port that takes you to the Isla de Las Mujeres. This is the only attraction around the hotel. Spend a little more to be closer to the strip.

Terrible Beds! Dirty Beach! and Unfriendly Front Desk

Stayed for 4 nights. Bed was very hard. Had to call 3 times before we got a mattress pad. Do not stay here if you are picky about your bed! The buffet was decent, breakfast was definitely the best. The beach had lots of seaweed and was difficult to enjoy. The dinner theatre was good. Outdoor pool is unheated. The swim up bar was not opened during our stay. Nothing near by within walking distance. Bar staff was nice. The concierge will try to talk you into a welcome breakfast. We didn’t do it. The front desk staff was unfriendly. Will be returning to Cancun but won’t be back to this hotel.

Bring lots of small bills for tipping. You will also need them as many places pay you back in pesos not dollars. Don’t forget your suntan lotion or aloe vera ..costs three times as much in the hotel gift shop!

Very accomodating!

The hotel staff was very nice and tried to please everyone. The rooms and hotel were exceptionally clean. The "Celebrity Show" they put on in the evening was hilarious! You need to go to it.

Wonderful experience

My husband and I just returned from our stay at the Blue Bay and we could not be more pleased with our experience there. Having planned this trip as a surprise for my husband (and essentailly doing it on my own), it far exceeded my expectations. Our trip was only for a few days, but it was worth every second of it and we cannot wait until we can go back

As it is a time share property, the staff will try to get you to attend "tours" of the facility. Also, staff will try to get you to book trips w/ them. Just stand your ground and don’t get sucked into some of the promotions

Value for the Money....But?

The hotel was a good value for the money but if you are expecting a plush experience you should upgrade. The room was fine except that the television went out half way through the stay and needed to be replaced, but they replaced quickly. Secondly the cable is mainly spanish channels so dont expect much in the way of american channels. The beds were hard so if you like that then you are in luck otherwise you may feel some aches after sleeping on them. The food was OK but nothing special especially the desserts. If you expect food like you would get on a cruise you will be disappointed. The bar was good and they were very accommadating with drinks so that was a plus. The two biggest negatives are the Tour Company that is located at the hotel. We paid for snorkeling but couldnt go due to weather the negative was that it took way too long to get my money back from them, they stalled till the hour before we left for the airport. It is also expensive for what you get so you may want to go outside the hotel for tours. Lastly they have numerous games for guests to participate but they are obnoxious at getting guests to participate. I had a guy yelling in my face while I was sunbathing which caused a small confrontation. So stay away from the main pool if all you want to do is get some peace and quiet

Good bang for your buck

When we saw the taxi take us away from the hotel district we were very frighten as the scenery changed to graffiti; we thought we made the worst hotel decision, once we got to the hotel our fears were put to rest. Watch out at the airport for greeters and the hotel orientation, they will try to use guilt or sob stories, so you buy into their timeshares. Good hotel for the price, hotel staff was great and helpful; however, the beach and the food left much to be desired.

Settle down for an in-depth review

This is a budget all-inclusive hotel, and it shows. It’s miles away from the Hotel Zone. The hotel seemed geared towards families and older people. The pool closed at 8, and the bar at 1, sometimes earlier, and the swim up bar was never open. Our room wasn’t ready when we got there, but they upgraded us to an oceanfront room. The staff was friendly and helpful. Tipping helps. The room itself was nice, but, THE MATTRESSES ARE VERY HARD! The entertainment/activities were pretty cheesy for my taste. My biggest gripe, however, was that THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE!! Mass-produced, either too salty or too bland, greasy. It’s a shame to be in a place where you can eat all you want, but not want to! They say there’s 4 restaurants, but there’s only 2. The main one served breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is an outdoor terrace, only open in good weather, for a few hours, that served only burgers, fries, and pizza. Their idea of a 24-hour "snack bar" was nothing more than a little table set up in the lobby with chips and chili! There was one reservation-only restaurant that served dinner, and it wasn’t even worth the time it took to get out of bed and make the reservation, same food as the others, just in a fancier setting. Breakfast is the best meal. The pool and beach were ok, but overall, DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! I was lured in by the low price, and learned that sometimes you have to splurge to get a little more.

dirty beach, scary part of town

ok, so this was our honeymoon and we did have a great time. sun sand drinks and love where can you go wrong , right? well it was a good staff. and the reservation only hotel was generous and polite but hard to book and you only get to go once. the weather was wonderful and the sea was calm, but there was seaweed all over the beach everymorning. and it wasnt all cleaned up everyday. this was my new husbands first trip to the ocean and we both loved it, bars were great by the way. the beach was the only thing that i was truely disappointed in. that and the scorpian that the staff asked my husband to remove. not our job!!! oh and the tour is a time share that is not worth your time get the map, the tips and get out!

Great value for the money

We were very pleased with the hotel. It was clean, the staff was helpful and the food was very good. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would recommend it to anyone, especially those who like to hang out in the sun and around the pool.

Every day we went somewhere. There are so many places that you cannot fit them all into a week. The side trips are fun but so is the hotel zone and Market 28. Our favorite activity was the Jungle Tour including driving our own speed boat and snorkeling. We saw two sharks.
