Excellent for Travelers with pets

This hotel is newly renovated. Very helpful staff. Did not have a problem with pets. Hotel is a good anchor point for trips around the area. Next to major shopping area. One draw back was a lot of street construction around the hotel which should be finished by end of 2009. The hotel was very quiet even with the noise outside. Tubs in bathroom could have been bigger.

nice place to stay

If you are looking for a nice place to stay and don’t need the fancy stuff like pools/exercise rooms, etc. then this is a great choice. The rooms are clean and attractive, nice big TV, refrigerator, coffee maker, comfortable beds, etc and also a good breakfast is included. They also have a computer in the lobby that you can use.

Nice Hotel

It was nice hotel and price is also good, although they should have strict policy for non-smoke. Someone was smoke in a non-smoking room; but the hotel didn’t take any action. The next person to stay the room and he/she is not a smoker, the room would be unconfortable.

Have scheduled another visit towards the end of August

Overall the hotel was very nice the only disappointing part of it was the mornings with continental breakfast. The attendant preparing the fool did ok, but she should have taken the effort to clean off the tables after guests had eaten prior to others coming for breakfast. The attendant at the Country Inn and Suites does this, makes for a much more enjoyable morning breakfast. One other thing is the trash barrel is located in such a position that customers have to cross and bump into people making toast at the toaster to dispose of their trash. They should have a barrel at the extrance and exit to the room. Thank you.

Any port in a storm

Had a business commitment in Duluth during "Grandma’s Marathon". All rooms booked and/or inflated. It was this or a "smoking" room elsewhere.

Excellent Service

All hotel staff were very helpful. Complimentary popcorn, chips and salsa and cookies in lobby were a nice touch. Rooms were comfortable. For the price, this is an excellent hotel.

Not recommended

Smoky smelling, bad lighting, terrible sink set up next to door, no micro-wave and a bad location.

I have stayed twice at this hotel. It is a good value for the area, and is close to shopping, restaurants, and the businesses that I needed to visit with.

Don’t bother

The outer hallways and foyers reeked of cigarette some. This is on a floor with no-smoking rooms. The decor has been recently updated so the room looks nice when you walk in. So this matters not at all if the bed is a sack of potatoes. It is the only thing I beg of a hotel is to provide a clean firm comfortable bed that can hold up two people.

the rooms were small and the bed was uncomfortable. the rooms were very clean, but it was hard to justify paying so much for a room that was so small.

great stay!

this hotel was perfectly fine! it was clean, comfortable, and the people there were extremely nice. i would for sure consider staying there again and i would also recommand this hotel to someone else. it may not be a 5 star hotel in real life, but to me it was perfectly enjoyable like a 5 star hotel.

They loved our dog

The staff at the hotel was most accomodating and answered all of our questions. The room while small was clean and adequate.

Close to the Mall

The hall to the basement smells like only a basement can but surprisingly the room didn’t. Although it was smaller then most it was comfortable and clean. The price was right and the staff courteous.
