The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
The good: location was ok, and the free breakfast buffet (with eggs, sausage and potatoes) in the morning was a definite step above the typpicalcontinental breakfast. And our housekeeping staff were terrific & talented in towel folding similar to 4-star resorts (we had a puppy the last night). The room was spacious. The bad: Even with the breakfast, not sure it felt like a good value. And on the second day (hot & humid), we had some small bugs in the room. But we also visited San Antonio during its hottest months, so I dont think it was the housekeeping staffs problem. The ugly: Kitchen was old; we planned to use it until we saw it. And the sofa bed mattress needs help.
I would recommend for families, since its a good value for a family-focused vacation... you can easily fit a family of four in the room. Dont expect to walk to the Riverwalk unless youre in shape. But then, its also a relatively quiet place as a result. I would not recommend for couples planning to spend the majority of time on the Riverwalk area... finding parking became expensive.
