Location, Location, Location!!

This hotel’s “back” door drops onto Embarcadero, with an unobstructed view of the bay and the Bay Bridge. It is a block and a half from the Ferry Building, and very, very easy to get to if you have to drive. Street parking is extremely limited, and the hotel charges for 24 valet service, but it is unlimited in and out privileges. Being San Francisco, your car is an expensive luxury no matter where you decide to stay. I will definitely stay here again and will pay extra for a bay-view room as well.

Great location and cozy hotel

Walking distance to the Bay bridge and convenient transportation, makes it great destination for a business trip. Cozy room although a little bit small; nice environment.

The bed was really hard and there was nothing to eat for breakfeast or late at night,

Great location, great rooms and service

Great View and Location

I liked the hotel, the view from my room, and the location but was unimpressed with the front desk service. We were charged at check in a ridiculous amount per day for "incidentals" before our vacation had even started. We did not use any incidentals and had to wait for reimbursement of the money. My daughter requested the kid’s bag four times from the front desk before we got it. It was a very nice activity bag but I was again disappointed with the front desk. The charge to use the lobby computer was excessive rate per day. There seemed to be an extra charge for everything in the hotel. Cleanliness and room service were great.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

We bought the muni pass and the Go Card for 7 days. It was expensive but we spent it and then some. We saw as much as we could and loved it. It was great having access to all the buses and cable cars and all kinds of attractions. We also took Bart from the airport to the hotel. It was a pleasant experience.

Loved it!

I loved the location - away from the hussle of the Warf, but close enough to reach all the hot spots within minutes. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room had a WONDERFUL view, worth the upgrade. It was actually roomy by San Fran standards. The only down side was the fee to use the internet (even if less than 15 minutes) and paying, per page, to print. No biggie though - will definately stay again!

Great Hotel!

I choose this hotel for accommodations while participating in this year’s San Francisco Marathon (7/26/09) and loved the property as well as the extremely convenient location to the event. I would definitely stay there again for future SF Marathons. A couple blocks away from the Muni train that I used to get around.

WONDERFUL!!!

This hotel is friendly, accommodating, clean and comfortable. Their free wine reception every night 5, and milk and cookies at 9 are wonderful little touches that make the stay a joy. I recommend asking for a room with a Harbor view, it can’t be beat. Cleaning staff were very prompt and extremely nice. I definitely recommend this to anyone!

Great location

Was very impressed by this little hotel.

Very good hotel, great location and nice bar

Everything was good. Hotel is kind of old but it is part of its style. The bar is incredible! Business center is expensive.

Traveler's tip on shopping

It’s worth walking from where Market street starts (just a few blocks away) and walk up to Union Square, passing by San Francisco Shopping Center. Lots of shops and restaurants to visit. On the other hand, being next to the coast you can walk and visit the piers, great view of the bay bridge.

Location, location, location!

Walkable location from the Embarcadero: across from Ferry Building and Saturday farmer’s market, near PacBell Stadium, near Union Square but not as noisy, near Bart, near multiple award-winning restaurants.

Great Hotel

The room was small but one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in!!

Great quality and location for the cost.

Very nice hotel for the cost. The waterfront location is very convenient to BART, the Ferry Building and some excellent restaurants. The adjacent YMCA is fantastic.

The La Mar Peruvian restaurant at Pier 1&1/2 (north of the Ferry Building) is fantastic. The Perry’s restaurant adjacent to the hotel is great for reasonable meals.

Great stay in an excellent location.

VERY FRIENDLY service and very helpful people. Lots of nice small touches, like the complimentary evening wine and cookies. Nice lobby to hang out in. Rooms were very quaint with nice views of the bay. Rooms were a bit small, but definitely adequate. We definitely will stay here again.

We decided to stay in a different part of San Francisco this time. What a great choice! The hotel is located across the street from the Ferry Terminal, one of the main public transportation hubs. Easy access to trolley, BART, buses and anywhere in the city.

Clean, comfortable and convenient location

I stayed three nights there. Clean but small room. Very close to Ferry Building. Facing on the San francisco bay, great atmosphere.

A wonderful hotel

I did my research on this hotel and read the many good reviews that were written by other travelers but I must say this little hotel exceeded my expectations. It’s adorable. The rooms are not large so if you want lots of room to lounge this is probably not your hotel. The interior design is tasteful and soothing. Many great restaurants in walking distance (Perry’s next door is wonderful). The Farmer’s Market on Sat. AM is a must. We loved this hotel and it will be where we stay on our next trip to San Francisco.

Love, love, love Harbor Court Hotel. Great location. Room service from the excellent restaurant next door. Free wine reception. Cute/chic rooms - they are small though, not for more than one or two guests! Staff are super friendly.

Perfect hotel for business travel

Very comfy with all you need

Small room but service, and cleanliness made up for it

Although I though my room was a bit small, the cleanliness, the service and overall stay was great. The service was awesome, everyone very friendly and helpful, location GREAT.. in the middle of everywhere, great tv, able to play my ipod .. oh but the only thing that was an issue was parking... VERY EXPENSIVE but i didn’t use the hotels service.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

As mentioned I did not use the hotels parking because it was $40.00 bucks a day.. on the weekends street parking was free but finding was hard and on Monday, my last day there, I parked in a nearby parking facility for $10.00

Great Location, Beautiful Views

The Harbor Court is located close to the wonderful farmers’ market, 2 blocks from Market St, various sorts of public transportation, including BART connections from SFO. It is a very nice Kimpton hotel, beautiful lobby with plenty of space for wine hour. The rooms with a view are quite nice though the windows are small--this used to be the YWCA.

Go to the farmers’ market on Saturday, walk / jog up the Embarcadero to Ghirardhelli Sq (very touristy) or on to the Marina and eat at Greens, a renowned vegetarian restaurant.

Can’t wait to go back

The Harbor Court is charming and the staff extremely well trained. Although the rooms are small, the price is excellent for San Francisco, and the location is outstanding. A wine hour is included, with very drinkable wine. Wonderful restaurants surround the hotel which is just across the street from the Ferry Building and municipal transportation. It is an easy walk to downtown, as well.

Wonderful location in San Francisco to explore the Embarcadero area--Ferry Building is just out the back door. The Farmer’s Market is a great place to browse. Excellent, tho pricey, restaurants surround the hotel. Everything is within walking distance, including access to streetcars and buses.

Excellent value

We have stayed in the Harbor Court several times over the past 10+ years and have found it to be a consistently excellent value. Nice extras such as 5:00 wine and 9:00 milk and cookies. It’s also in a great location.

Great Hotel and Location

The service and hotel were wonderfull. And the location is perfect.

Just Great

The location is perfect, located down on the water in the financial district. Market at the Ferry Terminal is a 5 minute walk down the Embarcadero, public transit in all forms is within walking distance, so basically you can tour the town from this location easily. We did in a weekend. The hotel itself was excellent, with a great staff. Wine tasting, cookies and milk at 9 PM, just a great atmoshphere. Rooms are small, but perfect and the lobby with fire place is set back and private should you want to stretch out. Very clean and all "Green" products. Very cool. The bed was just right, very comfortable, so we were able to sleep (also very quiet). Going for a few days to a week, I recommend the Harbor Court.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

The location of the hotel is great as the trolly is right around the corner and wil take you down to the various piers. I recommend taking a bike ride from pier 41 over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausilito. A ferry takes you back after your ride. On Saturdays be sure to go down to the Ferry Building for breakfest at the Market. You do not need a car. If flying in, getting to and from the airport is easy. Once here, public transit is easy to understand and follow.

I chose harbor court hotel for two night. The room was very confortable and their servce was parfect. I was very happy to stay at Harbor Court Hotel.
