nice people, motel in shambles
For my 4/08 trip, this place was a mess. Seriously dilapidated. Outlet covers cracked and loose, big crack in the sink, spackled holes in the wall. It was however, clean. And the manager was extremely courteous and helpful. I think you can find better condition for the same price. But if you have to stay here, it’s clean, which I think is most important.

Not a five-star hotel, but not the pits either
I feel this hotel is being given a bad rap by some of the other reviewers. I was there for 9 nights while I was working in Austin. The staff were very friendly and accommodated me, with such requests as having a microwave and refrigerator in my room, replacing shot lightbulb, etc. Clearly, it’s not a five-star hotel (the green water in the swimming pool tells you that, as well as other aesthetics), but the employees were pleasant and eager to help which allowed me to focus on my work.

Rodeway Inn North
Stayed here for several days i march an found the service at the desk very good. Never any problems contacting the staff day or nigth. The continental breakfast is doughnuts :D 5 minutes taxi drive to downtown.
