OK for business trip, would not recommend for tourists
The main purpose of my trip was business, so the location was ideal given its proximity to Capitol Hill and the Capitol South Metro station. However, at night this area of town is very sleepy, so tourists should consider staying closer to the Smithsonian area. The hotel itself is 1980s contemporary, and the rooms have a "cold" feel to them as they are all white stucko (including the ceilings). The amenities were minimal, but overall my experience was fine, especially for the price.

Great Location, Extremely Helpful Staff!
This was an excellent place to stay if you are spending time on Capitol Hill. I attended a conference at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, but did not want to stay there because it was so expensive. Instead, I stayed at the Capitol Hill Suites and am very glad I did. It was in a great area, and I was able to walk to everything on Capitol Hill as well as to my conference. The hotel staff was extremely helpful. They helped me with storing my luggage, routing my destinations, suggesting places of interest, accommodating my additional guests, etc. It was a great place to stay!

Once a year regular visitor
This is our yearly place to stay for an extended weekend while visiting family, so we dont spent that much time at the hotel. But it was very disappointing to have a refrigerator that did not work, so we had to keep drinks and some medical supplies in bags on ice all day long while we were out. Also discovered that our TV did not work after we had already unpacked and settled into our room late at night. The facility did offer to change our room but it was too late and we did not want to pack up and move. There were no apologies and no monatary compensation for either issue. Very disappointed!!!!!!
