Awful - after this Fawlty Towers would be a treat!
Car park was full all three days due to airport travelers using it as a cheaper alternative to parking in the airport lots. Room dirty (cobwebs that were present at check in were untounched when we left 3 days later), mould in bathroom. No hot breakfast one morning - chef had not turned up. No snacks in bar - was told to walk across to the airport if I wanted nuts or crisps with my drink in the bar! Staff were rude and diffident - when we complained about the inability to park we were told that it was not the hotels responsibility to ensure you could park your car! We also saw the big signs saying that the hotel is not responsible for missed wake up calls (mentioned by the previous reviewer). The exercise facility is also no longer available. All in all this is the worst hotel I have ever booked through Expedia. Stay somewhere else!

Was ok, a little snobby
We drove to this town the night before our flight to London. The exterior is a little tired but the inside was much nicer. The staff was a little rude to us, but hey, you never know if they were just having a bad day. The hotel is in walking distance to the airport, so if you dont really want anything fancy or in the thick of it all, stay here. We ended up having to take the train into town for dinner, but it was fun to see the sites.
Traveler's tip on dining
Take the train/metro from the airport into Newcastle proper to get dinner, see the sites, etc.

Time for a face lift
As an overnight stop at Newcastle Airport this Hotel is just about ok, but the place is in need of a face lift as the furnishings and decor are very dated and showing the signs of age throughout. My alarm call never came - although there was a hint that this might happen with a large sign in reception saying "not responsible for missed alarm calls" Luckily I work up in time to catch my flight.
