DO NOT STAY AT THE HOWARD JOHNSONS IN DENVER, COLORADO
Last time I stayed at a Howard Johnson I was 8. This visit I had a basement room with a window sidewalk level. It was a warm night, when I went to open the window the sreen was completely ripped out of the frame on three sides and just hanging. I discovered trash on the floor left from the previous guset. I had made special requests for a late check out. I reconfirmed late check out with the guest clerk. the next morning I received three calls from the same clerk and had to explain three times about the late check out. Her response, "Oh yeah, sorry." On the third call she reminded me about the pet fee of $10. I went down to pay it over an hour before check out and she cancelled my card key requiring me to return to the desk where she was flirting with a man. I waited about three minutes and inturrupted to get my key authorized again. Expedia is a very helpful company but I will never stay at H.J.s again and will warn everyone I meet of the same.

Inexpensive hotel. Suited the purpose of 6-8 hours of sleep on a stopover of I-70, but that is all.
