Wll be great once construction is done
Hotel is under construction however my room was done and was very nice. Lobby also is done and nice. The one problem was the construction began around 8am and you could hear banging and machinery. I was there on vacation and did not want to be up at 8am. The location is great and felt very safe walking to and around Dupont Circle and the metro. I would definitely stay there again when construction is done.

October weekend
This is a good hotel and a convenient location. The newspaper delivery was a nice touch. The food in the bar was good.

Not impressed
The first room they put us in was HORRIBLE. It was way too small, the coffee and ice bucket had to be stored on the window sill. They had renovation going on so there were jack hammers above us and a lot of noise outside our window. My first complaint was met with "we are in the middle of major renovation, the workers will be gone at 6:00." But after I explained we had just driven 7.5 hours and needed rest now not in 3 hours, they graciously moved us to another room. When booking the reservation I should have done more reseach to discover that the pool and gym were closed due to renovations. On Monday morning we were awaken by picketing workers. We had parked on the street so the kids were uncomfortable when we had to cross the picket line. We didn’t get the value for our money on this trip. Maybe once the renovations are completed.
Traveler's tip on dining
The kids favorite restaurant was Crepes A-Go-Go on P Street. The location is small but the food was great and the workers very friendly.
