It was OK.
I went back after being there last year. They no longer give out breakfast vouchers, so I was a bit disappointed.

Think twice; be prepared
Odor (pet urine?) in room first assigned was so strong we stopped at the door. Second room short on bath linen but clean. Renovation is wearing off - peeling finish on vanity mirror, stained carpet, rusted sink fixture, unrepaired holes in bathroom door. Luxury bedding is now sheets washed thin, skimpy blanket and spread with unrepaired holes (cigarette burns?). Water control for tub yields very hot water before you can turn to safer temperatures. No breakfast arrangement. Bring your own supplies: pad & pencil, tissues, ’Do not Disturb’ sign, possibly toilet tissue. (Their supply truck didn’t arrive on time, we ran out during our 3-day stay; they finally raided a vacant room to supply us. No apology.) Seemingly safe location was the end-point of multijurisdictional police chase (6 cars, sniffer dog, many officers) on our second evening - just 2 parking slots from ours. Probably not a regular occurrence, but scary.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Location is convienient for travel to many attractions. For the very thrifty in a hurry, a McDonald’s is near. (L @ 75th St., then on the right after you pass the high school. Signage at street level and on the building.)
