Super 8 Motel - Jackson Hole

Not Pleased

Our reception was not pleasant.We know it is a resort town, but thought for what we got the room rate was high. The continental breakfast, not much. Overall we were really unsatisfied, and this was the second time we stayed at this particular Motel. We will not stay there again!

Basics covered

We liked the breakfast room, including coffee 24hrs. Like all hotels, we wish they would turn the blasted CNN off ... we went to Jackson Hole to get a vacation from NOISE. Internet and a printer for boarding passes. Good parking.

Old with small rooms

Fortunately we arrived late and left early. There was nothing impressive about the hotel, but nothing really bad either. Plain Jane, vanilla hotel.

Too expensive for quality dellivered

The worst thing was having a room on the third floor and there is no elevator! The rest was not bad, but not great. We had to get five new key cards. Each one seemed to work only once to open the door. For the price, I would have expected better.

Super 8 Jackson Hole

The Super 8 Hotel in Jackson Hole, WY is a lower quality hotel. It’s a very old building, small hallways, creeky floors and thin walls.

A nice hotel for the price, would stay there again. But for those who need an elevator, there isn’t one. Only stairs, and it is three floors. Tho my husband and I like to have a hotel with a hot tub, there isn’t one, but that is fine for just a one night stay.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

There is quite a bit to see in Jackson, for those who are wildlife inthusiasts especially. And also shopping if you enjoy doing that. Very fine restaraunts, limited during winter time tho.

Too Expensive for Super 8

Made reservations months in advance and still was placed on the 3rd (top) floor. Hospitality area for continental breakfast was too small. There was a bad squeak in the floor right in front of the sink -- probably heard by the folks below us everytime we stepped in that spot, which was difficult to avoid.

Good value for the money

Comfortable beds. Motel has no elevator and old but the room was quite comfortable.

Adequate but Overpriced

Although this was the cheapest hotel I could find in Jackson Hole, WY, the price was not what I would consider to be a budget rate. Room was clean and comfortable. Location was a bit off the beaten track. Breakfast was all sugar, no protein, not even peanut butter. Next time, I will fly back to Denver a day earlier and stay at a better hotel for half the price.

Good in a pinch

If you are looking for a bare bones place to stay this will do... But for anything more I would recommend against it. To start with we had a room on the third floor and discovered, after arriving, that they have no elevator. While there were no mechanical problems, and the room met basic cleanliness requirements it was not a stay that wanted to make us come back. In fact had we not been camping the two nights previous it would have been even more of a let down.

Expensive for the facility.

The only problem is that there are no nearby restaurants. Travelers without private transportation are pretty well out of luck finding anything to eat in that area.

Decent stay for the price

The only negative was for a three story hotel, there’s no elevator, where I could see that would be a problem if you weren’t physically fit and had to haul suitcase up a couple flight of stairs

It was a great deal and easy to get to. The Motel was charming and comfortable.

No Elevator!?

The room was smaller than usual, but most significantly,there was no elevator in this three-floor building, and the staircase was too narrow to conveniently navigate with luggage. I would give this establishment one star, not two.

O.K. for one night

Room was small and cramped for a family of four, but very clean, and the beds were comfortable. We were surprised there was no elevator, which is a real pain when everyone in the family has several suitcases to carry, and noisy when people leaving in the morning roll them down each step. The choices for the Continental Breakfast were extremely limited and poor--that would be the one thing the hotel could easily do something about. Very overpriced for what you get, but unfortunately, all of Jackson seems to be.

Room was nice, but alot of noise from guest in room above.

Noisy Floors

I would only go back if I had a room on the third floor. The floors are loose and noisy.

Our room was very large and quite comfortable,

large rooms, comfortable beds, clean. They do not have continental breakfast.

Very close to west gate of Yellowstone, makes it easy for in and out day trips into the Park.

Nice for the price

This Super 8 fits right into the western theme that predominates the area. My 4-year old really enjoyed the free popcorn in the lobby as well as seeing the stuffed bear. My only complaint was the noise of footsteps that you could always hear above us from the second floor. Every time the occupants walked from one end of the room to the other it was like they were walking on a plank right above our heads. I’m a heavy sleeper and it woke me up several times. Other than that, if we could have a room on an upper floor I would stay there again.
