i REALLY ENJOYED MY STAY. i AM WORKING AWAY FROM HOME AND THEY REALLY MADE ME FEEL GOOD. tHE INFORMATION ABOUT THE AREA WAS DEAD ON.

The rates are reasonable. There are enough perks in house and enough restaurants nearby to not pay twice as much.

Poorly maintained

This hotel was not worth the money. It was a very spartan room and I felt that it was barely being held together. Some of the carpets in the common areas such as the elevator were filthy and very badly stained. The curtains in our room were off their trolley and worst of all, the latch and the rail for the window to the outside was broken making it so the window would not close completely. The only reason I didn’t feel insecure from someone coming into the room through the window was that the room happened to be on the second floor.

Room Was Filtyh

Trash thrown around the bathroom, towels thrown on the floor, and bed was unmade.

Not Comfortable

I stayed for 2 night in the hotel, all I needed was a place to "sleep" for 2 nights during BF, the shower was not clean at all, the carpet seemed as a an old movie theater the sheets where as to be sleeping in newspaper, oh and coffee next morning was hideous.

will not return

IHOP is next door and that is about the only thing going for the place. The room we stayed in had a perpetual leak from the neighboring ice machine and the floor stayed wet so it smelled like mildew all the time. The people at the counter knew this and still they booked the room.

Don’t go there

The only thing good I can say is that it was cheap. But please remember, you get what you pay for!

In need of maintenance

The beds were comfortable. Towel storage rack on wall was marginally attached to the wall and would fall off if touched. The toilet "ran" intermittently and the sink faucet would only turn completely off if moved to the maximum "hot" position. Carpet was dirty and desk chair was stained with dirt. Shower glass door had a lot of soap scum and the door jam to the shower stall and the sliding bathroom door jam were both in serious need of a good cleaning.

Broken Shower

In my recent trip to Round Rock for a friends wedding, I am glad I spent minimal time in my room. The shower head was on one of the adjustable to raise it up and down which is a great feature...unfortunately the lever to clamp it down was missing or broke or both, so it could only rest at the bottom. On a good note, my private areas are the cleanest they have ever been! The carpet in the hotel was so dirty it turned my fiances feet black. Room keys had to be replaced each day, they put a 1 day time period on room keys so after 24 hours they stop working. Each night I got in tired from dancing and drinking and each time I had to wait to get new room keys. There seamed to be many other "pissed off" people at the counter each time I went.

Best coffee machine ever!

We have stayed at Red Roof Inns before and have always been very pleased with not only the room and the cleanliness of the hotel but the service as well. But THIS Red Roof Inn had a great coffee machine downstairs that had regular coffee and flavored coffee all in the same machine - it was great!

The hotel is fine but the manager has let many process participants continue with the injustice and this is disturbing.

Comfort in Round Rock

I had a trip to Round Rock to check out a vehicle to purchase & either drive back to Fla. or have to fly back. Unfortunately I had to fly back. I didn’t have that info. until 10:00 am. on the day I was to check out. Red Roof Inn was kind enough to hold my room until I had to call and cancel. It was a great peace of mind to know that if I could not get a flight out that day I still had a place to stay. This happened during a large festival called SxSW. The Hotels were pretty booked for the weekend. Thanks for helping make this trip a great experience.

Good deal!

I was very impressed at how nice the hotel was for what I paid. I had stayed at Red Roof Inn North Austin 2 days before and was less than impressed. Red Roof Inn RoundRock definitely surprised me and I would certainly go back. SXSW 08!

Loud and understaffed

I am usually a tolerant about service, since this is a travel hotel my expectations werent too high. But this hotel is understaffed thus making any services needed would take too long. Hotel management should take a look at this operation and find a right size staffing plan to deliver prompt service and retain its customers. I would not recommend this hotel.

Not impressed

This hotel wasn’t very clean my husband and I were pretty creeped out.The staff was very nice but they should get some different cleaning it was filthy

not the cleanest

Reasonably priced and conveniently located but not the cleanest of hotels.There was dead bugs in the bathroom, manager did give us an upgrade and kidded about the bugs saying "at least they were dead."No breakfast offered but did get discount from IHOPS next door.Coffee and hot chocolate was free.

Traveler's tip on dining

Saltgrass Restuaraunt is very good although alittle pricey. Hooters is fun and inexpensive. Rudy’s a great barbeque place.

Disappointed

The hotel’s ice machine was not working and we had to buy ice. There was no coffee for guests which is the very least of amenities. Pets are allowed and the rooms/carpet are not cleaned properly. I usually stay at this hotel when I go to Round Rock; but I will be staying some place else the next time. I guess you get what you pay for.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

If you don’t mind the basic amenities like ice and coffee missing then I guess it’s okay.

motel from hell

I was assigned to a room. when i entered the room had a saggy bed, a telephone which appeared to be missing its guts and when i tried to turn the air conditioner to cooler; the front of it fell on my feet and a large wire with a metal tip fell out on the floor. they moved me but in am i could not get any coffee.

The room smelled like smoke especially the towels. I guess you get what you pay for.

Best maintained Red Roof I have stayed in

Although the toilet ran constantly and the shower has a few mildew issues, this was the best Red Roof I have ever stayed in. Hotel staff was both friendly and efficient during check in. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Traveler's tip on shopping

very close to the Round Rock "outlet" mall...though we all know "outlet" very rarely means discounted prices unless items from a particular store are discontinued.

Worth the money - no more no less

This hotel is in good repair save for the stairwells and hallway carpets which are in very poor condition. Highway access is one way only off of the I35 frontage road.

Not impressed

There was no shampoo or conditioner in the shower and it had a mildew smell in the room. The carpet was sticky.

Too Dirty, would not stay again........... STAFF GREAT!!!

This hotel has filty carpets, stains in hallway and room. Beds and showers appeared clean, but not sure. Staff was great but I would not repeat this stay.
