Pay some places still let you have dogs

The hotel was clean and easy to get to with their shutle. It was great that they let a person who is staying over night for a flight stay with a dog with a little extra cost. It is good to know that you have to pay for you dogs stay with cash they wont take a car for it so you will want to budget that into the cash that you are caring on you.

bring extra cash for the fees. They also don’t want your pet on any of the furniture. Something else that is good to note is that there is a lot of broken beer bottles on the back side of the hotel so it is a little scetchy to walk you dog back there it would really stink if you dog cut a paw during a trip.

Can’t wait to go back.

good for a night

my wife and self had an overnigt at the hotel while flying on the next day. downside....not much choise for a place to eat. upside.....close to airport with shuttle which runs frequently, clean room, and cereal for breakfast cheap...would stay again if for a night

Cheap

Although the hotel offered a free shuttle to/from the airport-we were MILES!! from the heart of attractions. You had to catch the shuttle to the airport-pay to take the BART train system 10 stops just to get to the night life. The website said that the city center was within distane, but it really wasn’t close to anything. It was located in the industrial area by the airport so the only place to eat was down the street at an IHOP. I would have paid more to stay closer to civilization!

Not close. You have to take the shuttle back to the airport and then catch a train and go 10 stops to get into the city. Shuttle only ran every 30 minutes and stopped running too early-so a taxi gets expensive if you want to go out to dinner you have to be back by 10pm

Door did not LOCK!!

Coffee filter didnt filter. the toilet flooded. and the door didnt lock. terrible hotel. never again will i go there.

This hotel was not listed but ones around it have sex offenders staying in them.

They were great moved us into a bigger room. Our 1st room was way to small for our family of 5, 2 of them being teenagers. Are only 2 issues was are key keep needing to be reissued and we kept getting shorted on towels. Then finding out there where sex offenders. Many of them in the area was a issue.

Budget hotel in SF, better than expected

My husband and I stayed there for a whole week (6-14 december) and we were very satisfied with the room. Our check-in was a breeze. We went to our assigned room and we were surprised to find it was clean, as well as the bathroom. The room had a small fridge and a microwave oven too. It also had a TV with cable. The hotel is conveniently located just a short drive away from SF International Airport, also there are restaurants around that area (Ihop, Houlihans, Beijing Buffet etc). There are several other hotels nearby, as this area is just about 3 miles away from the airport. We rented a car also and it was a relief to find out that the exit to 101-N was just a turn away. After coming back every night to the hotel, we were glad to discover that the room service was very efficient and our rooms were always clean and the bed was also made. The hotel includes continental breakfast. My only complaint about the hotel was that the breakfast was not varied at all during our stay there. So we only had a few choices throughout our week. After the third day eating exactly the same, let’s say you’re really not looking forward to breakfast. I recommend this hotel to anyone that is on a tight budget and would rather save up some money on hotel.

There is a mall relatively close to the hotel, I believe it’s called the "Shops at Tangadora", which has a Target Store. I believe that’s the closest ’supermarket’ you will find around there. Go there and get bread, cheese, cold cuts etc if you want to save some money. The room has a fridge and a microwave oven, so you also can get tv dinners and avoid spending a lot of $ in SF (which is ordinarily very expensive)

Could Be Better

For a cheap hotel you cant expect much. Had no remote for the tv so had to ask front desk for one. The guy said he would bring it right up but had to go the next morning and get it myself. Was no DO NOT DISTURB sign in our room either. Had a few ants in bathroom and around nightstand between beds. Left an empty soda can on nightstand when we went out for most of the day and was covered with ants when we got in that night. Threw can away in outside garbage and never saw another ant the rest of the week so it must have been most all of them. Otherwise for the price the beds were comfortable. Thats all that mattered since we really only slept there cause we were out almost all day everyday.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Downtown near fishermans wharf on the main strip is nice. You can go and spend all day walking and there are a lot of little shops and places to eat. Must go see the Golden Gate Bridge. If you have never been you can walk across it. Chinatown was alright but not really all that clean, but then again it is chinatown. All the sites are not very far from each other but there is a lot to do.

what a dive

I have never left a review before but felt obligated to do so this time. You get way less than what you pay for. The continental breakfast is over at nine am, which I thought was silly since we were on vacation, I had no intentions of waking up early enough to get any. I doubt its anything special anyway. Its placed in the hotel’s itty bitty lobby. When I asked the front desk for some extra towels, she told me to go ask the house keeper, who was on the other side of the hotel. When I asked her for towels, she told me that she didn’t have any. Even though, she was pushing a cart and was supposedly cleaning the rooms. Check out was at eleven but they came knocking at 10:33 trying to get us out so that they could ’clean’. I was very disappointed in this place and will never return. I didn’t think I had too many expectations because of the price, but it does carry the HoJo name. What a let down. Don’t stay here!

bad service

we came in around 1 pm and the receptionist gave us the key to the room. we climbed the flight of stairs only to find the room a big mess. upon calling the receptionist (who was rude), he told us that we came in at the wrong time and that we go back there at 3 pm as it was their check-in time. he could have had the courtesy to let us know that the room wasn’t ready yet and not give us the key to the room. we could have avoided going up to the room with our heavy luggages.

Not bad.. Good enough

The room was clean, but upon checking in, there was only 1 towel and no washcloths or hand towels. It took a little while to track some down. Also, we weren’t impressed with the air conditioner. It never really cooled down the room. The room was clean. We weren’t in the room other than to sleep and shower; so it was good enough for us.

Don’t Stay: rude service

This is my 1st time (and will be the only time)staying at this hotel. The female receptionist is rerribly rude (I believe she and her husband are also the owners). She requested very impatiently to see my credit card while I was unloading my luggage and also taking care of my baby. After I told her slowly and clearly "hold ... for ... a ... second". She felt incredibly offended and insisted me to apologize to her. All customers will have to check out by 11am. However, when we arrived at about 3pm, she told me to wait for 0.5 to 1 hour since the room is not ready yet. So I was wondering what they were doing in those 4 hours. The room was clearly just remodeled. The bothroom is not fully finished yet. But it is ok. The Sanyo TV has no remote controller. When we requested one. They gave me a different brand that has only on/off button working. I feel glad that I don’t need to get up to turn off the TV before going to sleep.

just OK one night passthru motel

Definitly a no frills motel but it did suffice as a one night stay. The room was clean and was a comfortable place to sleep.

I thought it was a good value for the money

We both thought it was a good value for the money. It was close to the airport which was nice when we left. The room had all the amenities you could ask for and they were very accomodating.

Not disappointed - would use again

fine for cost and finding a place to catch the shuttle - bathroom is worn and stained but generally clean.

Great off the freeway location

If you plan on going anywhere in San Francisco you’ll need a car. That said, this is a great location to be at!! It’s just feet from off & on ramps to get in and out. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant but it does have many great eateries within walking distance. The continental breakfast includes cereal, fruit, bakery items, milk and juices. Good.

Cheap place to sleep

For it being in San Fran this was a cheap place to sleep but not much more than that. The shower head in my bathroom was falling off and had been tied back on with a plastic garbage bag. The hotel just needs a little maintenance and would be better.

Good basic place to stay to have a bed

The H.J. had a good continental breakfast..simple cereal,toast coffee,juice muffins. It was a little old but it had a fresh coat of paint outside and in the rooms...nice comfortable simple rooms, everything worked..although after taking a shower we noticed the carpet was wet on the other side of the wall..in the room area. They had Wi-Fi..no pool..just a basic no frills place to hang ur hat for a night.

For cheap eats and gas Mcdonalds and Costco was about 1/4 mile down the street and the rental car return for the airport was just a little farther..On the other hand there was a Chinese buffet across the street at the Good-nite Inn.

Highly Recommendation

Outstanding service.I would highly recommend this Hotel to all my friends and family members. I will definetly saty here again.
