Coast Bastion Inn
The Coast Bastion Inn is five minutes from Departure Bay and Dukes Point where regularly scheduled BC Ferries leave Nanaimo for sailings to Vancouver. The city airport is a 20 minute drive and harbour to harbour flights from Vancouver dock at the Seaplane Terminal across from the hotel. Nanaimo also serves as the gateway to Northern Vancouver Island and several Gulf Islands including Gabriola and Salt Spring.

Very nice hotel
The hotel was centrally located in Nanaimo with a very confortable room. The staff was very nice and stored my bicycle for safety. The room also had a view on the harbor which is a plus. The hotel made me wish I had spent more time in Nanaimo

Try the little French restaurant which serves crepes and other french meals it is excellent
