A very pleasant stay
The Lodge is very nice, but just be aware that if you book a condminium suite you may be more than a mile from the lodge proper with all the wonderful amenities. So the spa, garden and large pools may not be convenient. My only complaint was that the staff did not give very good driving instrutions to our condo. A well prepared map would have been very helpful.

Disappointed!!!
We have travelled many places and I must say this is the first time Ive been disappointed & confused in a rating. Upon check-in at the hotel the lobby was inviting and attractive. We toured the main hotel area, i.e. restaurants, spa, pool area etc. Everything was beautiful... until we went to our room. We had to go outside and drive down a hill to get to our room. No big deal. When we were taking our luggage to our room is when we became extremely disappointed. The paint was dated and pealing. There were cracks in the concrete walks and stairs and it was an ominous walk down dark stairs. Housekeeping left trays and carafes on the railings and floor along the outdoor walkways. The room was no better. Very basic & dated. The bathroom had no fan and the stopper in the sink was broken. The rooms amenities were lacking. For a 3 1/2 star hotel youd expect thered be a refrigerator and possibly a microwave. It had neither. It had basic amenities of blow drier & ironing board. Ozarks in the Summer are hot and humid. There was no way of keeping our bottled water cold. We paid 3 1/2 star price for a 2 star experience. The only way I see this hotel receiving a 3 1/2 star rating on this hotel is because of the spa. We decided to get 1/2 Day spa packages and were completely thrilled with our service. Prices were reasonable and everyone was courteous, friendly & professional. The spas amenities were impeccable! I would go to the spa again!
